Outstanding Nate! I'll be following your build closely. I have been tempted to build the TOS-1 or 1A in a larger scale so your build just might be the perfect motivation!
Have fun modeling!

After a bit of real life distractions, I am back at my model bench. I have finished up the wheels and tracks for my TOS-1. As this was the first time I have ever made a vehicle with tracks, I was more than a tad nervous when I started out with these two "rubber bands".

I should not have been nervous as they painted up and glued together quite well! Here's the painted wheels mounted on the under body of the T-72 vehicle.

And now with the painted tracks added. The top join line will be hidden under the track skirts.

Now it's on to weathering this sub-assembly after I finish the upper body and turret.
Have fun modeling!

Hello everyone,
I'm new (kind of) to this forum, and after I looked at the beautiful models built here, I decided to give a try also.
If I'm allowed to participate, my model will either be a Bal-E, a 3M-54 or a S-400. All from Modellcollect in 1/72.
When the kits arrive, I'll submit a start-Foto, but I will start only at the beginning of december.
Happy modelling everyone
Alex

Whew, that's a lot of parts! Must be 5 times the parts of the old Tamiya Ausf. C kit.

Hi folks,
became this is all new to me, I have a question (some of you may have read it a hundred times before):
How do I add pictures to my post???
I took a picture of my unbuild model, stored it in my kit-make Gallen (in the apropriate size of course)..., but I'm to dumb to add the pic.
I need help please.
Thanks to all

Hi Alexander
First copy the URL address of your picture from wherever you hosted it. Usually you can right click on the picture and select properties from the list, then just copy the full URL from the info screen.
Then when you click on reply in the Armorama thread, just under the text box is a row of buttons, the last being [ img ]. Click that button and delete everything between the words in brackets starting with 'http' and ending in 'file' and then replace it with your URL link description making sure the last bit includes the type of pic i.e. .jpg .bmp .gif , etc
[ img ]
http://put.url.here/image.file [ /img ]
Then your pic should be posted

Alex,
Kitmaker gallery is notorious for the difficulties it offers when linking uploaded pictures to threads. On the other hand, each user-providing he is not a subscriber-has a limited amount of data storage there and it is wiser to keep that storage for finished Campaign build photos.
My advice is- find a photo hosting service/site, that allows third party hosting(I use Imgur-to name one), upload your pics there, then link them to threads by using the BBB Code.
It might sound difficult to you, but it is not in reality-because they pull their members from all walks of life, these photo hosting services are extremely user friendly.
HTH
PS. If you decide to use the service I'm using-and face any difficulty-PM me and I'll be happy to guide you through.

Martin,
Nice work, that chassis has enough parts that it could be a kit of it's own.

Dito, Martin!
I love working on detailed chassis and your BM-30 has one of these!

Hi Alex, welcome aboard! Posting pictures here is something I found difficult as well at first. In addition to the good tips the others have posted, here is the post from a number of years ago that proved useful to me in the beginning:
https://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/120940&page=1 Peter, that Nebelwerfer looks like an involved build - I hope it‘s a challenge of the good kind.
Angel, your BM-13 is coming together well - May the launch rails not be too nasty (or a pleasant challenge, as you put it.)

Mike, good progress on your TOS and Zon, nice scratchbuilding on your Sturmtiger.
Gary, I‘m looking forward to your Stuka zu Fuss and Rob, good start on your very different one.
Martin, that Smerch chassis is shaping up well. That IS a lot of parts for 1/72 scale!
Have fun,

Rob, coming along nicely...at this point your build looks like a planetary exploration vehicle out of Jules Verne.

Thanks Jerry!
Spent some time last evening hassling with PE on my BM-13N.
And then twice that time hassling with Luna-M's rocket and rocket support(my part of a groupbuild with friends for a museum director).Quite challenging, especially the support...Hard plastic, gaps (to name a few)...putty and sanding is not to be avoided.

HI everyone,
and thank you for your kind welcome.
@ Peter, Angel, Jerry,
thanks for your kind help! I think with this forum I have to work with my computer instead of my tablet. With all your help I'll get things to work then.
@ Martin
Is the BM-30 in 1/35 or 1/72? Your build to this point -for me- is quite stunning.
I have Trumpeter's Smerch in my stash, and sometime in a future far from now, it will be built.
@ Anthony
I'l try my hands on the "Club-M". That choice was only made because I love its looks.
The only thing that both bothers me (just a bit) is, that Modelcollect hasn't made the kit to be shown with the missiletubes in the firing position. So I have to Do a bit of scratchbuilding.
Greetings

I am happy to report that my TOS now wears some color! I have just finished up the base camo scheme that it will be wearing. Here's how it looks with the 3 color scheme that the TOS wore in Afghanistan.

Next steps are the weathering and washes!
Have fun modeling

Mike, cool camo on your TOS.
Alex, glad to see you were able to finally post a picture. And that‘s a nice choice of subject.
As for me, I‘ll be finishing my Tunguska for the AA campaign in the next couple of days, which means I can finally get back to my Uragan afterwards.
Have fun,
Jerry
