Thanks! I actually did this with a combination of free-hand airbrushing and using putty as a mask. I started of with the masks, then went over the olive green and gray/yellow colors freehand. The black is brush painted as these were small with tight edges.

I've scratchbuild the engine and clutch for my ZIS-151 and I've finished my part of a groupbuild(Luna-M).
I tried the Luna-M rocket on the ZIS-151 chassis.

It is a horrible WHIF, that comes out:

Some small detail(fuel tank filler caps, frame and bonnet hooks,door handles, driver mirror e.t.c.) will be primed and painted either on sprue or once mounted.

Angel, your build has come together very well, with the scratchbuilt parts and the launch rail assembly. Was that section difficult to put together? It sure looks good. I also got a kick out of you pairing the ZiS-151 chassis with the Luna-M rocket - it does look like the rocket could take the truck into the stratosphere! It‘s interesting how much the size of these launch vehicles and their ordnance increased in a mere 20 years.

Building the launch rail assembly was a piece of cake.
As I said earlier- the kit is simply fantastic.It combines-I dare say- the attention to detail of Bronco, the engineering of Tristar and the buildability of Tamiya.
Pure pleasure and really nice looking OOB!

A pretty nice kit, generally pleased with how it's going. Need to find a way to convincingly prop the bonnet open so the engine can be on display, seems such a shame sealing it up in there.

Some absolute amazing work coming along everyone!

Sadly ive had such a hectic week ive not been able to get any modelling done or research for my project but hopfully next week will be fixing the tracks on atleast next week. And then looking at scratchbuilding a few items to make my mlrs british.

I have now managed to tone down the rather bright colors on the camo for my TOS-1 to something that more closely matches the photos of TOS-1s in Afghanistan. Here's the various components with most of the weathering done.













Next step is to add a little pigments on the wheels, tracks, etc. followed by a flat coat. After that it is on to detail painting and assembly!
