Vicious,
Now I will have to try a "Birra Moretti". I'll have a great story to remember while I'm drinking it. I'll have to wait until I go to a city, my small town has PBR, Coors and a ton of craft beers.
Thank you for sharing a great story.

Thank you so much Lakota!
in the family we have few stories handed down from the period of both world wars, always told in part by my grandmother but because she was already a teenager and involved in the partisan war did not talk a lot about it, or by the younger brothers and sisters, my great-grandfather and uncle who lived them directly rarely spoke about it and I understand them.

Nice one Vicious.
Had more than a few Moretti myself, mainly in Italy itself. We have a friend in Milan that we visit as often as we can.
My Grandparents were Dutch and my Grandfather worked with the resistance there. Never spoke about it at all, only found out after he died and my Grandmother started to fiull us in. She had some great stuff to listen to, as well.

Ok excuse me all I hijacked this tread too much, now I go back to my corner...

Nope I'm in Brisbane. 30k's south from the city centre where I work. I'm closer to Sydney than Townsville.

Thanks John!
I've enlisted too... figured I'd better as I was running it.
Now all we need is a ribbon.
If anyone has ribbon ideas to submit, please remember to make them in .gif format.
Happy Modelling!

Bishop was one of my choices too Chris. A lot of options, decisions, decisions
Whichever you decide on, we will enjoy seeing it come together.

Chris,
A pair of great choices for sure. Bronco makes some great stuff... but I'm not sure I'd be up to the challenge.
What scale are those Re-2001's?

The Re-2001 is 1/48. Being an old Redleg, I’m leaning towards the Bishop. Very nice kit and this boxing includes the ammo trailer. Has markings for Sicily 1943. Made to order for the campaign.

Be nice to see those Re-2001s upscaled to 1/32.

On the bench: 1/72 Mosquito, Lightning F.6, DH.2,
AMT Vulcan Shuttle Surak.
Cyber-Hobby 1:35 Sherman Firefly IC - still stalled.

Perfect timing as it gives me time to clear my current campaign commitments, wipe my slate clean, and take some advice and upgrade some of my tools. Not sure what I'll build but a Miniart Valentine or Riich Universal Carrier seem like good choices. Just wondering if anyone can tell me which Marks never saw Italy so I don't go wrong here. Or possibly a Bronco Humber Mark II.
Thanks,
Jon

That's good news Johhar!
I've started a preliminary ribbon design.

or in real size:
Of course, we have months to decide, so no rush. If anyone has other ideas, please feel free to submit them for vote. Remember the final image has to be 50X20 pixels and in .gif format.

Honestly, it looks like sushi - I think a slice of pizza would work better.
