Peter, it took me a while to figure out it was pork with crackling. But I am on my phone at work.

There is still plenty of time to submit better designs than mine, or to modify mine in a more warlike manner.

As much as I liked the " soft underbelly", it did make certain things more complicated. Topic spacing and ribbons included. Either way, it's great to see more modellers enlisting.

It's beyond my imagination how the slice of pizza may be more offensive than porchetta (I guess it was that sushi looking piece of meat). Maybe the leaning tower of Pisa will be more neutral, and above it all, it's very Italian.

and in the middle half Croce Sabauda,the Italian King emblem and half Fascio of the fascist?...

No.1 for me.

I just joined the campaign for a fun, nostalgic, simple OOB build. I've got an old Monogram Sturmpanzer IV, kit 7506, in 1/32 scale. I don't have an air brush so it will be rattle cans and hairy sticks for me. Hopefully it will be simple enough that I actually finish the thing. Looking forward to having some fun.


BTW, I like No. 2.

I wanted to create an engine that resembles the real one, but references are non-existant. In hindsight, I don't think much would be seen through the vents anyway. Be interested to see how it goes on yours.

If can interest you people there is an Italian author Lorenzo Bovi who has made a series of books especially on Sicily during WWII where you can find beautiful and many unpublished photos, many photos are shown next to the photo of the place now and aerial photos for more 'easily place them on the territory, there are also profiles and maps, the books are in Italian but the photos do not need translation, I am not related in any way with the author but are books that deserve a look and related to the campaign

A picture tells a thousand words, which is why Italian pictures come with hands to emphasise. (An old joke from an old italian friend whom we called windy.... when he talked his arms went everywhere just like a windmill..)
