Yep - been topping 30c down here in the sunny south, so no airbrush action since early June! I'm hoping the weather breaks in time to finish at least one campaign...
Hope you get the break you need Tom.
Here in Queensland, Australia, 30c is pullover weather...
Not quite.
But by comparison, we are in the middle of Winter and our daytime Temp is in the mid 20c's. In Summer we complain when the mercury hits 40C... and the humidity hits 90% +. Really hard to airbrush when the air is 50 parts water....

So you don't need to thin the water based acrylic paints since the water is already in the compressed air ???

It is the sweat from your brow dripping on the fresh paint that is the real issue
Seriously though, there is nothing like getting to work at 7.30 AM with your shirt sticking to you after a short walk from the transport terminal. Unlike you guys most people have air-con and use it, but going from airconditioned vehicles or buildings out into the open comes at risk of offending your co-workers when you return... 'Mad dogs and Englishmen'.

While we wait to see if we'll be approved, I took a stab at a ribbon. What do you all think?

I bought a AFV Club Mk. 5/2 Centurion about two months ago. Will be renovating the tome in a month as well. The timeline for the proposal seems just about right for a build of my centurion
Hope I can make it when it starts.

Am all enlisted.... even though it isn't listed I will be building a Japanese Type 10. I am sure that the kit can't take 3 months to get here, but then I also have a Type 74 and a Type 80 to fall back on.

Looks like it belongs on the list, so I've added it. Should be cool!

Enlisted. Not sure what I will be building as I have 4 options currently. M60A1, M1A1, M1A2 TUSK or a T-55. I will see what other people are doing and go from there.

Hello I have been a lurker on here for a long time, but have not been a contributor as I am very junior in my skills as compared to you “Sages”. That said, I would like to join this, as my inaugural to this site...that OK? Just need to know when to get her rolling, I am torn between an Israeli (Magach)or Syrian (T-62)subject
So when does it start?

Thanks Robin, you beat me to it.
Welcome Bruce, and don't worry about your "skill level". The folks here are incredibly helpful and full of great advice. Take advantage!

Hopefully I can do it justice. However, I have some time to research the subject... and make tie downs - I counted 60 in one photo!

I'm in.
I've got a few candidates in the stash as well as a few on order. I'll probably do a Trumpy M1a1/a2. It's the oldest unbuilt MBT kit in the stash and it's probably a good time to actually break styrene on it.

This will be my entry, for this group build and my binge build.
This should be fine, right? Since it is a variant of the T-54.

Welcome aboard Norman and Bruce. I hope you enjoy the journey and decide to join up for other builds later.
The whole point of the Group Build is to have access to people that can give you advice when you are stuck on something, to give you positive feedback when you ask for it and to encourage you to finish what you have started ..... and have fun whilst doing it.
We all have all been new to the hobby at some time. Skill levels vary in the builds as they are not meant to be just for 'sages' and by participating you can see how others are doing things; often different people use quite varied methods. Do not be afraid to ask someone how they did something you like and would like to try yourself, or maybe like to try next time.
Don't be afraid to stretch yourself either. We have all made a bit of a hash of things from time to time, but we have also achieved great results by going outside our norm too. It is all part of the hobby.
