Wow! Both of those look great, Joseph!

What shade of green is that you used?

Hi Richard,

Thanks very much. I used AK Interactive's 4BO Modulation set.

Hi Tamás,

Thank you very much! I am happy it turned out well even though I was rushing to finish it in time for the competition.

Angel: Thank you for the kind words. You are too modest. Your workbench photos are quite good.

David: Excellent work on the rust. It's like finding something in the forest after many years.

Joseph: Congratulations on both your medals! Quite the pair of guns and nice work on both of them.

ComradeMP: Great Start and nice addition with the weld beads.

I am calling my Aerosan finished. I didn't go too heavy on the weathering, but wanted it to look a little used. I also tried to indicate a grease/oil leak from the propeller dripping onto the back. Interestingly, the fuselage and skis are made of wood, so i did some really light chipping, but it is hard to see. Overall I really enjoyed this little craft and am very happy with how it turned out.

Happy Modeling and thank you all for a great campaign!

That's what I was aiming for as it's based on a YouTube video I watched some time ago.

Gentlemen,

I call my Trumpeter T72B mod1990 kit finished this morning. It was a strange build with some doubt in the middle of building work but after the final paint went on, I got new power to complete the works and I like what I see now.

Are we still on track for the midnight 12:00 PM October 31 deadline? I have not updated in a while but I have just gloss-coated it in prep for decals and touch-ups, and then attaching the tracks. As I intend on building the ammo tender at some point I am holding off on much if any weathering to keep it fresh for a diorama involving the two vehicles. For now, it is going to be presented in 'Kubinka'-approved finish.

I didn't use the metal barrel as I wasn't satisfied with the join between gun barrel and sleeve--which is to say none as they appear to be one piece. Anyway, where she is:

My only concern is that Oct 31 is Halloween, and being a dad I would be the not-fun kind of monster if I didn't take my kids out, so that is going to push me tomorrow and that evening. But as long as it is built, painted, and decaled and represents the subject in its finished form I'm good, right?

Hi guys,

Work has swallowed me up in the last several weeks, so I haven‘t had much time to do anything else, either modelling or posting here, but I did manage to get my HIMARS done a few days ago. But first:

David - Cool ISU-152! It really looks the part of a long-abandoned vehicle.

Joseph - Your S-51 turned out excellent, a good, clean build. The prizes it and your B-4 won were well-deserved.

Zon -You really nailed the winter finish on your Aerosan.

Tamas - I really like the finish on your T-72B - the restrained weathering works really well.

Majid - Great work on engine and interior detailing/painting/weathering on your SA-2 and ZiL-157 - I‘m looking forward to seeing it take shape.

ComradeMP - Good progress on your KV-3, especially with all those track links! The weld beads really add to it.

Shell - Love the camo on the Karl-Gerät, looking forward to further progress.

Here‘s my finished HIMARS:

Good luck to everyone racing towards the finish line!

Since your campaign leader is MIA, let me know if a significant number of people need an extension. Will one month do?

I don't need a whole month; a week would be plenty. But if others need it I'll use it.

Majid - Thanks a lot! Your truck and missile are coming along very nicely - the detailed engine looks great under the hood.

Joseph - Thanks! The HIMARS kit, as well as being of a cool subject, is reasonably well-detailed and goes together pretty well. The only thing I found fault with is the lack of an engine (just the bottom oil pan is provided). If I had had more time, I would have converted another engine to drop into place, but all I can do now is just look at Majid‘s build and feel the engine envy.

So many good looking builds that I can't even list them, definitely putting my effort to shame. As it is, my Ural 4320 managed to hit the original deadline (just) and here's the condensed version

the ridiculously tiny hoops on the front end

the end pieces are a bother as they have no fold markings and it's kinda guesswork

for some reason Trumpy forgot the exhaust section from the engine to the muffler so homemade it is

the dashboard decal looks fine to the naked eye and needs the camera to show it doesn't sit quite right

And to the painted ending

my currently pristine GDR truck.
As I now have to the end of November better pictures will be posted to the gallery

Thank you Joseph, very kind! I have made a big “concrete-look” base for the purpose to make photos from human-angle and give an impression of a real vehicle. So I think this goal is achieved.

Hi Richard,

Nice build! If you add some weathering, your URAL truck would definitely look more impressive. Waiting for the final photos to see!

Aloha All:

Tamas: thank you again for your kind words. Your T-72 is really convincing. Nice work.

Jerry: thank you and congrats on finishing the HIMARS. Looks great!

Majid: Nice progress. The missile looks awesome.

Shell: nice camo on the Karl. Looking forward to how it turns out.

Joseph: thank you!

Richard L.: Nice work on the Ural. I agree with Tamas; a little weathering would go a long way and really bring home your excellent build.

Happy Modeling,

Hello Fellow Campaigners,

How about Trumpeter Mk.5 Campaign ?

Late 2018 ( 12-2018 // 10-2019 )
Any Trumpeter kit, any scale.
Diorama and AM are allowed.

Any takers ?

Hi John,

I have tried to send you private messages already but cannot find them in my profile (unknown reason).
Actually I am asking that having completed the Campaign with all necessary activities, when will I receive the award?

Always liked the Soviet Generals with heavy decorated uniforms on the 7th November parades, stading in front of the Kremlin. I am already on the right way, having one for the MBT campaign.

Regards,

Tamás

Tamas,

The campaign ends on 30 November. On 1 December I will check the campaign gallery and award ribbons to everyone who has posted their completed model pics in the gallery.

Note: The Trumpeter Mk V gallery is listed on the 2018 galleries

I'm trying to upload my photos. They are too big. Can't figure out how to re size with IPAD program and PS express.
Normally i would use my computer, but it is home and i am 300 miles away.

Hi Marc,

You can email your photos on your iPad to yourself as attachments and change their size at that point. At least that works with the standard iOS photo app. Good luck!
