Well, the kit appears to also come with the drive sprocket for omsh tracks. I told myself to just use the T-72 track that came with the kit but now I find myself looking at Miniart track lol. Apparently there is a late and early type omsh track. I am assuming the late type is accurate for a T-62 during the Yom Kippur War,1973. Does anyone know for sure? Thanks!

So the kit contains T-72 type track along with T-72 & T-55/62 type sprockets ?

Yep. The directions say to use the t-72 type sprocket despite the box art and historical photos showing the omsh track and idler🤷♂️. No big deal.

Started working, not much done, mostly the main hull parts. Working on another T-62 (Tiran 6) for the IDF campaign.

Finally got the shield on. I don't know why I dislike that step so much.

The body:
Parts:
Running gear x2:
some other parts:
Tracks x4:
This is 1/72 and they placed individual tracks, so it will be interesting.

Well, looks like I'll have to withdraw the T-62. Somehow managed to misplace the tracks and can't find them anywhere, and with whats going on, I don't think I'll be able to get new ones anytime soon. While I might find them tucked away somewhere I'll just go back to my original entry of the IS-5.
Running gear was simple, bump stops took a bit of time to clean up and fit because of where they attached to the sprue. Track was a bit tight to fit and needed the usual clean up on the front and back of each track which takes up a lot of time. One thing I will say is they give you just enough track, so don't loose or damage any!
Turret goes together real quick, minimal parts. Brass wire for handles just a few small parts I need to add to finish it off.
Gun mantle is single piece, the gun barrel is the usual two piece with a separate two piece muzzle break. Replaced it with an Aber barrel with coax Dshk for the Trumpeter T-10's
Don't know why they went with molded on side skirts, means I have to paint and weather and then glue top hull on. Shouldn't be a problem though.

Hello everyone!
After some interruption, my next work progress. I was able to build the plane and even sprayed the main paint on the top side.
So far this is from me. Italian camouflage awaits me. Good luck and have fun.

Hello everyone!
This is the progress of my work. I did the camouflage on the plane, the engines were assembled, painted and put in place. I was able to adjust the torpedo as well.
Good luck and have fun!

Sleep schedule is all weird but I'm trying to get back to normal. Some advancement. Welds, missing welds here and there.
Welds on the rear, hinge bar was molded on as a thick piece so I shaved it off and will be adding some brass rod. Weird how some kits in the same family are nicely detailed and other have many corners cut.
More welds for the tow hooks, just need to paint the tow line and slip it into place. There is a hole for a post seen in later T-10 kits, no mention or part in the kit. Looking at what few pics I could find, there isn't anything here so I filled it in.
Few bits on the rear upper plate, the straps are PE but I think I will try to use tape. The straps attach to a delicate part so I don't want to go fiddling with the PE straps.
Added some welds to the turret with some inspiration for the in game World of Tanks model. Tapped and drilled out the antenna base a bit and stuck some brass rod in. The instructions completely forget about a third lifting hook that needs to be at the rear of the turret. Screens on the German style cooling arrangement in place.
AA gun is almost done. Instructions have you put the commanders copula on backwards and what should be an optic is just a plain block. Gonna have to make one.
All as Her fluffy highness looks on at one of her subjects....

Hello everyone,
I have been meaning to post an update but my career as a Respiratory Therapist has, unfortunatey, had me quite busy the last couple weeks. Glad to see the progress on some of your builds.
Primary construction on my T-62 model 1972 is pretty much complete. This kit came with T-72 tracks for whatever reason and I am happy to say I have found a satisfactory use for this later type track. My original plan was to build a 1973 Yom Kippur War Syrian vehicle but found some pictures of Afghan National Army T-62s circa 2012, as well as a decal set from Bison. These tanks are fitted with T-72 tracks...perfect! I will prime and begin painting soon.
Looking forward to watching everyone post their builds, some great kits going together. Peace to all and please stay safe. Love from Michigan, USA.
