nice work on the Chally... I have been doing small bit on the 2nd side armour (well started it at least), the mounts for the first side an dthen the rear (will have small slatted areas over the rear vents - the Bradley does something similar, nothing like plagiarising armour from other vehicles)
Hi Rovert,
I could spend some time with my kit yesterday and during that I rescribed the panel lines on the sideskirt. The kit part is very poor on it so heavy scribing was required. Do take care of it.

Great work Guys.
Rob that is a lot of effort for what you see, but it is worth it. (No pun intended)
Tamas, looks like you dragged the old school skills out of the cupboard in a big way, flash and seam line removal, sanding, etc...
Ezra, now AKKA DAKKA is really 'in your face' music...
Thank you Peter, this kit is not the easiest choice if you are detail driven but more and more fun getting close to the end of the build phase. Still have to focus on the turret before the spraygun will be in my hands - however it is hard to wait for that.

Cheers Peter, yeah not much is visible. Have built a few interiors, have ordered the MiniArt SU-122 full interior kit to continue the theme, may keep the panels loose on that one tho
and too late for this also just got the Trumpeter Stryker ERV with LWMR/SOB - that will be the most complex build (until the SU-122 I have built)

Thanks Rob! Do you think it should work with a Challenger 2? (I mean the basic Challenger hull is from the Chieftain.)

Tragedy! as im trying to attach the rear view mirror it goes pinging of my tweezer in to the carpet monsters waiting arms...or what ever it uses to suck away innocent pieces of plastic, anyways I digress... so in a short way of saying it I have to scratch build the sticky-thing the mirror goes on ( although after i build it, it will inevitably turn up, any ways the part was to big so i couldn't have used it any way.)

dont see why not, you would need to work out the pattern as if the hull is different the pattern may change

second side finished (well needs components joined together) and first rear section positioned. Not decided on the front yet, may not do anything across but will see once other side is fitted.

Heres another update photo on the Challenger 2, main building is done all thats left is some filling and sanding ( Believe me there are soooo many fit issues on this kit!)
one fit issue is this loaders hatch would not fit and I had to sand a ton of the bottom.
Another big issue is these parts on the gun barrel would not fit flush!
and I also had to replace the grab handles.

Im having a problem finding a problem finding any pics. of the roof pattern so any pictures would be great. ( not a chieftain pattern from the very vague photos I can find they look different.)

Hi Ezra!
Very nice progress on the Chally! Your camo is really impressive.
