Ahhh yes,good ol' super glue. The savior ( and bane ) of my existence. Always bonds INSTANTLY when I don't want it to but when I am holding that tiny part in just the right position and waiting for it to set welll....hours pass it seems.
Here is a small teaser pic of another up-coming side story in the Manvieu theme.

This is a Rado figure,modified to carry the base plate from a Dragon kit. I also did some work on the gear.
And yes,I see the freekin seam on his helmet. Grrrrr

Working on some more figs for the upcoming episode. From Miniart but I did a lot of carving and adding of putty to get them to look more relaxed and believable.

Yes,heavy stuff. In this case though,it is based on an actual personal anecdote and they didn't have to shlep the stuff very far. Just had to avoid the "lead overcast" at the time.

This just keeps getting more intriguing by the moment.
I like how modelers share the SBS uses of assembly and puttying; curiosity to which parts and pcs were used and how the figgie conversions came about.
All your hand/arm/leg and head/neck proportions are perfect. I'm not trying to be overly technical or anything, but you seem to always pull this difficult act off w/ ease. (I recall a Dio where your horses were spot on!).
Uniforms, poses, gear, equipment, etc even painting all follow the anatomy in order, and become exposed if the original base form has faults.
Inspiring to say the least Jerry

Yes,hat has long been a major concern for me.the anatomy. My painting isn't always up to the task though. I also like to show the weight of things. Too many figs have items floating with lightness,seems to me. I humped most of this stuff so I know....I know.

My building has taken a serious hit. Lost practically any and all enthusiasm for it. I have built the occasional sci-fi thing, but the last military build I finished was an all-white Panzer 4H in a snowsetting.
I am trying to come back via a few small builds, like M151's and my Shepard Paine-campaign, but so far it isn't really working.

Working on an assistant Bren gunner and so got to make a Bren spare barrel case for the first time. I had to do some undercutting of the Dragon parts as it had soft detail but...not too bad. I believe ( maybe wishfully ) that I am also getting better at making the missing gas mask cases and shoulder webbing associated with the carrying of the rucksack.

Nice to read your comments this fine morning.
Yes,the fig is from the Dragon Normandy set but the spare barrel carrier is from the Canadian set. Sadly,the Canadian set has way softer detail which is disappointing because there are cool things in there that you don't see anywhere else. Like the barrel case and the larger,purpose made pouches for carrying bren and sten ammo.
I have a Canadian scene coming up and it's too bad the set is so soft.

Wow!! Awesome work as always Jerry! Really like the pea-dot camo; that's one pattern I've been reluctant to try as it seems so busy and even more complex compared to the other patterns used by the Waffen SS. Anyway, good work!
