As far as grapes go I have two suggestions. Kamakazuri lazer cut papaer products sells a very nice grape vine set that includes white metal bunches of grapes. I have used them already. Another idea is using the tiny round balls inside a water filter canister. I have used those for the tops of airplane throttle handles,etc.
Anyhow...just a thought.

Starting on the Victorian greenhouse , fancy schmancy stuff . I reffed French Victorian greenhouses and wow the architecture and wrought iron work and elaborate fixtures are amazing . I'm tempted to build a part of a chateau with attached greenhouse/conservatory .

Here's what I've been up to . Can't use the staircase too big for the greenhouse/conservatory . Hopefully I can incorporate it into the gate house . Poor planning on my part , the staircase was an after thought after I already built the floor plan .
I should be able to paint this up today and post more tonight .
Hope I haven't modeled myself into a large hole , the glass [ everywhere ] is going to be a beeotch to accomplish . I have a plan but making it a reality's going to be a bear .

You also have to remember this is a Victorian era build . No locally sourced stone etc . The mid 1800's or so , the industrial revolution , movie stars , swimming pools , money , money , money . Europe had some fancy arcetecthure/my spelling is carp/ during this period . My research on this era in Europe produce some pretty fancy , schmancy , stuff , amazing .

Since I always model in the living room, I am used to getting questions and conversations. Try to get her (mentally) involved in to the project by asking her opinion and thoughts... Since this is thus far a non-military project, this should be easy

Hmm the glass sure will be fun - shoulda made the doorframes in 2 halves so you could just sandwich 2 strips of gl…oh OK you knew that already. Anyhoo it looks totally fantastic, one day you’ll have to tell me your patent recipe for painting exterior walls – colo*rs & method please

Tim , here goes .
#1 First I use a craft store acrylic " Barn Wood " . brush that on the plaster slightly wet . This way the slightly thinned color absorbs into the plaster in different degrees , darker/lighter .



#2 Next I use a wetter wash than the Barn Wood , " Nutmeg " allowing some of the Barn Wood to show .





#3 Finally I use your's and my favorite mix of black and dark brown pastel chalk , dry brushed on and in some places wet washed on .





Oh and I'm a DLR guy not a SH guy .

Projects? I'm working a 1:1 scale kitchen re-mod for my New Boss, she's a keeper. Ya, rustic hickory cabinets, flooring, window casing, the works. But now that spring has sprung it's slowing down my saw dust time, go figure. I plan to be right back in the bunker this fall, no if's, and's, or but's about it.
