Thanks D , thanks Tim .
Couldn't use direct sunlight , washed out the matte colors and caused some glaring reflections off the glass and light fixtures . So I settled for some filtered light through a swamp maple . The breeze blew down the window wall and I set it up backwards for the pics . Smooth move ......

This is really awe inspiring... A welcome sight of colorful peaceful tranquility betwixt al the violence we usually tend to depict. That leaves open the question I asked earlier : how does all this flowery beauty fit together with the pond?

Thanks JR , the military elements will come later . most likely paras in the reflection pool/greenhouse area and some armor on the road at the top area where the steps end .
Thanks James , much appreciated !!
Erwin , thanks man , I still have to add a gatehouse , above the greenhouse along the road . Also I want to build a carriage house to the left of the pool and greenhouse . Locations and layout subject to change .

After looking at the present layout , maybe the carriage house to the right of the staircase and pool ? Making the staircase and pool the center of the build .
Any suggestions ? Nothing is written in stone , that's why I build in modules to be joined later into the scene which leaves room for possible changes in placement.

Another reason for the modules , things can start getting bigger and bigger . With the modules I can add or delete to keep things manageable size wise and I'll still have the build for another project .

Cool!!
I am also subscribing to the modular system. I am just making bits of scenery and not even building a base for them. I mostly use just cardboard now. But then again,I never plan on them leaving my house so....don't need a nice base.

Hi Cheyenne,
This is amazing, I can even guess at the type of some of the plants...such as the 'agave',
.
I can almost picture Morticia Addams...of course it would have to be the Carolyn Jones incarnation,
...gliding around inside the glasshouse snipping the flowerheads off of all your amazing flora,
.

The wife's a little peed cause I bought a new 1/1 scale model .

Well it's all buttoned up , on to the viney ivy type stuff .
The greens are a little greeeeeeen but in just room light it's a little less stark . Don't know if I'll wash them down or just leave it , kinda like the rad color diff .
