Wow, nice little stash there. Mine is almost all built from the HL 50% off sales, can't beat those prices. Wish they'd get better kits though, the same ones all the time are getting old to see.

Ain't that the truth. I keep going there, and all I leave with are more Hummers and BlackHawks...
What you need now are German softskins to go with all
that Armor. Check out my ad

Makes my 3-kit limit look totally insignificant - more than 3 means lectures and 'your dinner is in the cat!'

I'm glad to see that there are those out there with a stash that isn't so large they can open their own hobby store....

I will say you have a couple more shermans than me.. but I got more Tank Destroyers and halftracks LOL...

On the contrary, make sure you marry the right woman. My wife is very supportive of my hobby, to the extent if she is somewhere and sees a kit she knows I want she will buy it for me.

Cheers,
Mike

PS: nice stash

Thanks for that that reply Mike. Being married is about sharing. I share my valuable time with three hours of chick flicks and she gives me the entire basement...

Seriously, I hear crap all the time in the forums about wives not letting husbands spend money on models. I say BAH...

Modeling is a cheap hobby. I can spend three months working on a kit that I spent $30.00 on. Hell, we spent more than that on towels last time we went to Target.

I would like to point out that I have nothing against maraige personally. Nor am I saying that I will never get married but it is not probable at this point. I have noticed many of my friends get married over the years and watch their relationship "go south" if you will over finances. That is one of the primary reasons I'm not currently married perhaps I'm being selfish perhaps not I don't know. Maybe I should rethink that whole Russian mail order bride thing.....hmmmmm :-)

Dating Gia is one thing....
Marrying Gia is a WHOLE OTHER thing...

lol, if the relationship lasts, itll happen. Im good with kids n all but I would really rather spend my money on somthin else. Heck, maybe him/her will become some sort of star if there ever is one?

Ummmm... never been able to get my stash all together in the same place to see what it amounts to - is this what is called 'denial'?

My girlfriend is pretty supportive, in a neutral (not really interested) kind of way. Mostly because my stuff takes up lots less room than hers It sort of helped with our relationship since her father crewed a Bofors gun in WW2, which gave us something to talk about.

The swearing is the bit of modelling she doesn't like....

My stash is located in the basement in my workroom ... she never ventueres in there .....

What they don´t know, they don´t think - openly - about :-)

But sometimes she comments on a new finished model, so i am quite shure she knows a lot more than she says ....

Jeez why do you build such a big stash? LOL I need all my salary of a half year to buy all those kits :-) Man maybe even more than that

My stash grows when I can get a kit for a low price....like I bought the Tamiya M8 for € 15 instead of the normal € 30.....but I think a lot before I buy any other kits hehe, to keep my stash little

This year I want to empty my stash....nice goal :-)

good luck on yours, and if you're selling anything for a good price, let me know!

Yes, I opened it and like most of the new Dragon stuff it is crisply molded and finely detailed. You will like it!!

Been married to the same woman for 17 plus years. When we were dating for our second Christmas together she gave me my first air compressor. Last year she gave me 2 Accurate Armor kits I wanted and an Academy Mid Tiger with interior, a barrel, 2 etch sets and tracks for it.

She has always supported my hobby. Says it keeps me home and is good for me. Now that my son is 7 he is showing an interest so I think it is also good for him to bond with me. She is now supporting my ideas for a finished hobby room in the basement like I had back east.

My kit stash is around 150 kits I think atm I decided to try and stop buying kits and concentrate on accessories, books and tools for a while. I also think I am going to ebay some of the kits like the jagaur Sheridan and Accurate Armor Stank.

Been married for 40 years and nary a complaint about the models and modeling from the wife. Of course, none of the money for models comes out of the regular pay checks, that could have some thing to do with it.

I have a sideline to make my pocket and model money. I cast lead pistol bullets. In fact, one time I was out of a job for 9 months and the bullet money paid all the bills!

But my building rate is a lot slower than my buying rate. I guess the wife will have a heck of a yard sale when they feed me to the furnace. :-)

The stash is around 200 kits right now.
