A nice-looking bulldog you got there! I presume you didn't use enamel paints on this one because the quite a tight deadline you're facing?
I think that rigging is fun too! Strangely, many seem to disagree... Perhaps they've gone too far in the field of bi-planes and ships. :-) Rigging my sopwith camel was really relaxing after the hassle of getting the struts aligned correctly.

My Bristol Bulldog Mk IIa is finished! And I managed to build it in less than 48 hours!
The model looks pretty big, but it is really tiny! I used Tamiya acrylics for everything except the front of the fuselage, for which I used Alclad II.
Here are some more pictures of my campaign entry.
Yes, I am definitely going to build more bi-planes after this!!
Cheers!!!

Toko's 1/72 Pfalz D. XII is pfinally pfinished. A beautifully molded and detailed lit that has sad fit problems, about like a 1970s-era kit. The kit's lozenge decals are to small and I had to cut them up just to cover a single wing--the rest are Micro Scale.

Polarbear,
That is a good looking Bulldog!
What did you rig it with?

Thanks Fred,
The method I used was quite fun (remember that it was my first rigging, and that there might be even easier and better methods) and it went as follows;
- Since Airfix didn't provide any drawings, I checked some photos of the actual aircraft.
- I drilled som tiny holes with the smalles drill bit I could find (made for Dremel but available seperately - I had to drill the holes by hand for precision and accuracy anyhow).
The main tools
- I used fly-fishing line, which was stretchable (and can thus be tightened without any major risk of snapping). 0.08 mm would probably be recommendable for 1/72.
- I used CA glue to attach one end to the "first" hole, and then it was a sinch to draw the line through the holes.
Well worth the try! Not that much work, and a rather impressive result!
Cheers!!!

Hey all!
I've seen all those real beautifull planes over here.
When in the near future this campaign gets a second edition, I'll join for sure!
It's a pitty my Nieuport chrashed beyond repair during the campaign (first fallen of a closet by SWMBO, than totally crashed during the argument with SWMBO about it...) But than again; that's life...
GREAT WORK EVERYONE!!!

Seems I'm out of the game
during final assembly on Monday one of the N-struts of my Fokker broke.
Well, I fixed it but I lost some valuable time. I was away during the last days and could not proceed. Here are some pix :
I will post some pix when it's finished.

Well, I've sent MadMeex two messages but no answer. Has yet another campaign leader gone AWOL?
Dang! I was so looking forward to a fine ribbon...

Perhaps we should contact the site admins for help. To finish the campaign we only need a gallery for it and the ribbon for all who completed their entries.

Hi all!
I sent a PM to Gunnie and proposed to design a Ribbon for the campaign. Tell me what you think and the one you prefer.
Here is a list of the members who finished their models for the Campaign:
- Almonkey
- Betheyn
- eMan
- Emeritus
- Jollyroger
- JPTRR
- Modelguy2
- Polarbear
- TedMamere
If I forgot one, please tell me! I only scanned in this thread so I may have missed someone In the next days the Ribbons will be hopefully awarded to you...

The bottom one is good. It tells clearly that it's about biplanes.
And thanks for dealing with this thing, Jean-luc.

BOTTOM ONE! not only does it say Biplane! it also reminds me of squadron markings used by the R.A.F. on their inter war biplanes
p.s. this tiger moth made its show debut on the armorama stand at telford, where some told me it looked as good as the die cast planes you can get now!

Hi Jean-Luc,
I posted my photos prior to midnight, but a few hours later, I shifted the photos to an album within my gallery, and therefore rendered the images not viewable. My apologies, here are the photos...

Hi Frank!
Congratulations for finishing this beauty in such short time! The result is excellent! Watching at your pics makes a lot of memories come back on the surface as I've build this Matchbox kit in my youth... certainly not nearly as good as yours!
I'm very happy to add your name to the list for the award! I only hope you found some time to celebrate the Sylvester evening yesterday...
Happy New Year!

Hi all!
Here's the new list for the award:
- Almonkey
- Betheyn
- Clanky44
- eMan
- Emeritus
- Jollyroger
- JPTRR
- Modelguy2
- Polarbear
- TedMamere
We reached the magic number of 10 out of 30
I still can't upload the ribbon (due to the server switch I think, Staff_Jim is working on that) but can award it without an image. Do you want me to award it right now (with a ?) or should I wait until the ribbon is viewable? You can check on my profile to see what it looks like... not very good in my opinion...

Hi all!
The ribbons should now show up on your profil page. So this is officialy the end of the "Two Wings and a Prayer" Campaign!
Hope to see you on other "battlefields"... the "Show your Teeth" Campaign for example!
