I would also like to join. I have a M26, M48A5 and M60 with active armor, so I could choose which one to build.

If the campaign is created, you'll see me there...

alright,
I submitted a Campaign form to the Campaign staff.
there is a need for a minimum of 2 months from application of the form to the starting date of the campaign so I moved all dates 1 month further so now the starting date is 1st Sept. 05 and ending date is 1st Feb. 06.
watch out for further updates when they get back to me.

Hello!

First time poster and would like to join in on the Patton campaign. I have the DRAGON M46, Tamiya M26 or the Tamiya M60A2. All three unbuilt, whichever works so please fill me in on the details?!!

Al least now I have a reason to build one of these which have sat around for quite some time.

Nice forum!

Welcome to the site Jeff That M46 Patton is probably DML's best kit IMO It has 86 links per side DML barely gives you enough In my gallery are some pics of mine

Here's a link to a review article on the M46

Right now the campaign is still in the planning process. Now that there are enough participants interested, the campaign leader (person whose idea this was) can submit it to the site staff for approval.

Once the campaign is approved, we can "enlist" and join the campaign. The dates and rules will be spelled out in the campaign guidelines.

Once the campaign is under way, you can upload your in progress photos in your personal gallery and post the photos in messages in the Armor forum, Rivet Review Board, or in the Campaign Central Command forum.

Click the campaign link at the top of the page or here to see other ongoing campigns.

You still can stick to doing WW2, just build the Tamiya M26 or Dragon T26E3 Pershing tanks.

What are you using for the M48 dozer blade? Is thier a conversion/AM kit for this? I have not been able to find one The Academy M9 dozer blade is for the M60 series not the M48

I think we got us a campaign. This oughta be a great one as it stretches from WW2 to date and there were a lot of countries that used m47's and m60's to entice everyone

Do we have to provide a pictorial step-by-step progress for a campaign?

Hi all,

If I'm not too late I would like to join this build with a Tamiya M26.

Oh yeah, I'd better mention I'm basically an aircraft guy and this will be my first AFV in about 25years.

Cheers

Sound like a great campaign. Now the hard part will be deciding what variant to choose.

Jeff

Not normally that formal. Most folks will show a photo or two of the kit in progress and a few shots of the completed work (to get credit for campaign completion). Some folks will go all out and take shots of every step. Most do not. I usually do a shot or two of some steps, for example, perhaps a shot of the built kit minus paint or some detail I added.

I'm in. I have an M47 that is close enough to finished now for me to have a shot of completing it in a 4 month window.

Hi all, I'm a newb to this site and was wondering a couple of things about this GB.

Will it be hosted out of this forum or does it get moved to the Campaign/Mission area?

What happens now, do we just start building and posting updates

Thanks

Hi Darren,
once it gets approved and kick's off you can enlist. There's gonna be a separate thread in the campaigns folder whwre you can do that.
You may add a BLOG, but don't have to ... guess Elad will have some separate space in the gallery section and we should add our final pics to that, finally you should get some kind of badge that will be added to your profile ... Did I miss out anything??

Just a tip... you can't start building until the campaign start date. Anything you have on the bench now is ineligible.
