I don't know anything about Maquette kits...

How are they?

Specifically, the T-34 "Stalingrad" production.

What model is that, and when was it produced/used?

These things are on sale at military hobbies for 10 bucks. I can't imagine they are all that great, if they are unloading them for that price...am I way off mark?

Well most of maquette kits are low priced but decent enuff, but all have lots of flash to clean up and a decent ammount of putty needed. But on the other side , many fo them have single link tracks, more details than usual, some even have full enteriors (like Panzer 38(t) for example.

As far as T-34/76 Stalingrad... i think you shouldnt get it, i recently finished mine

you can see progress pics until end of project in this link http://photobucket.com/albums/v635/TigarI/T-34-76 Stalingrad/

BUT!!! first take a look at my armorama gallery, there you will find pics of assembled kit before painting and you will see how bad fit it has....

my armorama gallery is in this link http://photos.kitmaker.net/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=3412

and a links to my posts when i begun making the kit is this one: https://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/43066&page=1
and this one https://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/43168&page=1

now, as other kits i did from maquette, i did their Panzer 38(t) Praga ausf G, opposite to T-34 stalingrad this kit was very nice, except few poor fit places which were puttied and sanded, and single link tracks that took some while in cleaning, it builds into a very nice model as you can check in my "On Display" armorama future in folowing link: https://armorama.kitmaker.net//features/384

I hope i was helpfull, to conclude, T-34 stalingrad prod is a bad kit, it contains parts from other 3 maquette kits of T-34 mixed and lots of work and nerves are required to put on a decen job, but, parts that were from same sprues fitted very nicely so i can only guess that other T-34 kits from maquette are not bad as this Stalingrad is.

cheers

Thanks for the reply Mirko,

I was thinking about using the kit with my StuGIIIA in a dio, with the T34 being knocked out. I figured for 10 bucks, who cares if I hack it up.
