Dear Armour Fans
What do you think about Anti Aircraft campaign. It could be called "Achtung Jabo!"
and any vehicle, canon or gun which was designed or used to bring birds down could be an entry. We could start in Autumn (let say October) and finish in March.
Who would like to enter such project?
Any ideas, suggestions are welcome

Missiles as well? Especially with Trumpeter's new SA-2 and SA-6, Dragon's old SA-9.

You will probably have to wait till the 2007 campaign season as all the 2006 slots have been filled. I would like to see one.

Me too, I'm on a hot streak with my building... I picked up Tamiya's M16 halftrack with quad 50s and would like a reason to put it at the top of the list! It will be my first Allied WW2 piece.
The beginning of 2007 would be perfect for me.

I JUST started to build a german Steyr 1500 and I planned to put on top the new Dragon 2cm flak.
I think both pieces are very up to date model, and I would be pleased to participate to one of your campaign. It would be the first time, thought I've been logging on this site for a while.
Maybe in 2007...as he said.

Sounds good to me but I agree that it would be a good way to start off the new year.

I thought some more of you guys would like to participate, but maybe I need to wait for some more replies. Thanks for all those who has replied so far.
Why not? We have to show all we have against friends from Aeroscale
Starting after New Year is good idea so this date would be proposed to Staff.
I'll wait few days more before submiting campaign proposal so we could declare at least 15 members wishing to take part in this one.
BTW I would enter with Italeri's Crusader III AA MK.III which is waiting to be made as vehicle of Polish 1st Armoured Div.

A duck hunter campaign would be a good idea. Although someone is bound to ask if some tank can be entered because it has an anti-aircraft machine gun mounted on the turret.
It would be interesting to see the different towed, self-propelled, wheeled, tracked, cannon, machine gun and missile armed entries. It could be quite a large variety.

Great idea for a campaign Would prototypes be allowed? For example a Panther with either a twin 3.7cm or twin 5.5cm flak turrets Or an M3A1 Stuart with a quad .50cal

Marcin -
Sounds like a great idea. I've got a 'WirbelWind' and some other candidates to look at in the 'stash'. I'd love to join in. However, with "MEOW" and "Purple Heart" going on, the 'New Year' start is definitely the preference. Keep us posted.

I think such entries shouldn't be allowed.

Prototypes are ok, too.

A duck hunter campaign ...
I'll treat that as name proposal if you don't mind, Robin.
What do you think about title "Achtung Jabo!" or maybe you other suggestions.

A good idea. It allows lots of scope for participants to build a wide range of kits from a number of different countries and periods. I'm definitely up for it.

I think this would be a great way to kick off the new year.
It will give me an excuse to do that old Tamiya Flakpanzer Gepard kit thats just collecting dust on my shelf.

Well, it would definitely have to be after the New Year. I am running the Meow Camapaign and enrolled in the Tank Aces where I plan to do Barkman's Panther "D". And for my Master's project. A backdate conversion of a 350 scale Yamato for the Philipine Sea Campaign.
I have a 251 "Drilling" kit from Dragon I can tackle. Though one of those OPFOR missle shooters like a Gaskin or Gekko or a zoo-soo (ZSU 23-4)sounds pretty neat

While I understand your title is meant to portray a warning about incoming fighter/bombers I would probably go with a more generic title than a WW2 German phrase. Wouldn;t want to let people think it was only for German AA units.
