I think I'd like a Kettenkrad; if the road is blocked I could just drive on the pavement :-)

I'd pick a modest Daimler Mk II.....my brother had a couple of Dinky Toy ones I spent many happy hours playing with as a child and have always liked them. And probably more practical than a 4-tracked behemoth!

HUMMM? KCbuilder is paying for maintenance and fuel for my 104 mile daily commute, so I'll go for the Maus.
BUT! There are those little country roads without the heavy bridges to support the Maus, so I guess I'll pass on the Maus. really I just don't want to hear my wife complain that there is no room in the driveway if I get home before her and park infront of the garage. You think I would hide my Maus in the garage, no way! My neighbors would turn green with envy.
I would not want to drive for hours to get to work five hours each way! So, it would have to be a Hellcat, fast!
BUT! I have to drive throught Ft Drum, NY. and I don't think they would like seeing anything with a gun on it coming on the base! And they might want to use me for target practice!
And with the light dusting of snow (120 INCHES!!) and mild winters (-30F) we get here! So, I would go for something like Drader picked or a GamaGoat without the trailer.

I'd drive a Puma. Its wheeled so it will get better gas mileage than a tracked vehicle and its main gun will still give you the respect you deserve when other drivers are considering cutting in front of you. I'd also carry some Fallschirmjaegers so I could drive in the car-pool lane. :-)

Well, I love the WW2 vehicles in general, but with gas prices these days, I'd never be able to keep it going.
So I'd have to say a Canadian LAV III or Leopard C2, more fuel efficient, and Canadian Tire should stock any spare parts that I may need. :-)

Well, fellas, like the VW microbus says in the movie CARS "Respect the classics, man!" And to that end I would have to give the nod to my favorite AFV, the Sherman Firefly Vc. Plenty of gun to intimidate with, and I'd take a little bit of artistic license by attaching the corporate Chrysler badge to the nose and tail and add a custom bumper sticker that says "Yep... Hemi-- 5 of 'em!". The Sherman Crab is a great idea too. But when the fuel gets a little too dear I'll revert to wheels like others of you have noted. Make mine a Staghound Mk III with the Crusader turret and 6pdr gun with lots of APDS rounds....

Gotta have a Sherman (any variant)
Ever see the episode of M*A*S*H where a Sherman runs over Col Potter's jeep?

for me, it would have to be amphibious, and yet with a reasonable turn of speed, so, unarmoured, DUKW
armoured on whells, I love the m3 scout car,
nippy and zippy tracked m3 stuart.
get the h... out of my way.... probably a tiger, either type, both a lot of fun. :-)

T 28
She is sitting near the path that takes you into the Patton Museum on Ft. Knox. That baby has 4 sets of track. Try and imagine changing/breaking track on the inside track. Ouch!!
Scouts out
The T-28's outer sets of track were designed to be disconnected and towed behind the beast.
Not only was it big, heavy and slow, it was too wide for any road it might have travelled on.
Geez, at 95 tons, it makes the Jagdtiger look like a runt.
Could you imagine the cranes they would have needed to load this hulk onto a ship?
If I had my choice of vehicles to drive, I'd want a Daimler Dingo or a Canadian Lynx Scout car.
Small, fast and a convertible to boot.
Cheers

Well, the T-28 might be a bit heavy, but it would be a great choice to drive both in the morning and in the evening in Rome's traffic...

Small, easy to park, light on fuel... what else could a man driving an armored vehicle to work want?

It would have to be an M4A4 Sherman. I've been after my wife for years to let me get one, but she restricts me to 35th scale.

With a crew like that, I want to drive the German tank from WW1 (the A7?) large crew, VERY slow, prone to breaking down. I t would probably take all day to get to work. Well, my favorite amored vehicle is the Panther F, but if I had a crew like this it would be the Stuart then!

Kettenrad for me. It looks like it'd be FUN! Plus I bet it makes an infernal racket and wears gouges in pavement.
