Announced some time ago by Hobby Boss, a Chinese amphibious looks to be approaching shore and ready to deliver.
An announcement on the Hobby Boss site shows the 1/35 scale PLA ZTD-05 is getting closer to store shelves. The ZTD-05 is manufactured in China, and is a new series of amphibious fighting vehicles. The amphibious vehicle can be launched at sea at more than 10 km out. The vehicle is equipped with a 105mm rifled gun that is designed to be shot even when in the water.

82484 – PLA ZTD-05 AAAV

From what I have seen around the web, it looks like delivery of this kit should be early in the new year, possibly January 2013.

I got their older release with the smaller turret. This one looks interesting too. The two kits are mighty big for 1/35, especially with the front trim vane deployed. Cheers, Christophe
