For a few months now, Accurate Armour have been listing some very interesting (and never before done) subjects on the website as 'Future' projects. Now, comes news of their arrival this month...
In the first instance, I would like to express my appreciation to Derek Hanson of Accurate Armour for sending me a series of LARGE images of these interesting new releases.

The undoubted 'star' of these new releases, is undoubtedly the Loyd Carrier in 1/35th scale. Although similar, it has, up until now, never obtained any coverage from the manufacturers compared to the 'Universal' Carrier. Accurate Armour has taken the interesting step of producing no less than FOUR variants of this interesting subject.

ALL the kits are resin, with (where applicable) PE included...

Accurate Armour - June 1/35th Releases:

K136 - Loyd Carrier (Personnel)

K137 - Loyd Carrier (Starting and Charging)

K138 - Loyd Carrier 6 Pr. Anti-Tank gun Towing Vehicle

K139 - Loyd Carrier 4.2 Inch Mortar Towing

K143 - WW2 10 cwt GS/Ammunition trailer

G006 - 4.2 Inch Mortar & Ammunition with decals

G007 - 4.2 Inch Mortar + Trailer & Ammunition (with decals)

Greeting all Great stuff for British and Commonwealth builders. Might be a suitable kit for me to try building my first resin kit, although the PE stuff leaves me cold, for that matter so does the resin!!! LOL Neat kooking kits, that's for sure. Hmmmmmm Cheers Al

The simple reality is that subjects such as the Loyd will NEVER be done in plastic. So, if you want it, you build it in resin there aren't a lot of alternatives.

Yip Jim, Unfortunately that's sure the case. Cheers Al

Wonderful news for Allied/ Commonwealth modellers! These are in fact very nice kits! Resin and photoetched it's true, but very nice! Got to build one of those one of these days! Cheers and happy modelling! Prato

Wow !!! I can see the mortar vehicle & trailer in my future !!! If someone brings these to the IPMS Nats this summer, they might be my big (dollar) military purchase -- although I'm really supposed to just be looking at aircraft this year ...heresy I know, but ... John
