Black Dog announced their new 1/35 scale figures, continuing the Green Men from Crimea theme.
The photos we have show three new figures depicting Soldiers of Crimea. Unfortunatelly, we don't have complete information about these figures as they are still in progress, but we do know they are sculpted in 1/35 scale by Radek Tomanec.

As soon as we get more info, we'll post it here. Stay tuned.

In another thirty years it too will be looked upon as 'just another conflict in history's pages'.....Just like the Nazi's, modelling to me is that history gives inspiration/ imagination to model personal choice. If you don't like something then don't buy it/ don't watch it/....or in our cases don't build it. Personally I think they are great figures and just add another choice to the hobby. And if I was a manufacturer I would cash in on every conflict.....just as Masterbox and others do..!

I'd say it IS ok to express an opinion on this - but try not to jam comments down each others throats.... and please understand that many many people don't see WW2 as just historically interesting... I personally find the divergent opinions on current conflicts can be fascinating and educating - as long as they don't degenerate into flame wars. cheers

I'd agree wholeheartedly to that! To me freedom is primordial, also for everyone to freely speak their mind. I understand Jon's reaction, but I must agree with Adam! There are other wars ongoing and there are things that just don't lapse for me. My family suffered badly from the Nazis, and their crimes should never be forgotten or minimised! However, I too, like many, can't understand why a swastika on the tail of an Me109 should be banned (especially so as you can still see them in films!)!! And I too have built scores of german tanks and vehicles and painted lots of Wehrmacht and SS figures. As a wise man above said...this is a hobby (or should be at least ) and we should try to remain as civilised as possible (although that's not always easy! ) Cheers Romain

So talking about the actual figures, I have the first two that were released by Blackdog and they are very impressive- crisp and detailed mouldings with some great little details- a tiny little resin radio wire for example! I'm also building the Meng GAZ Tiger right now and was thinking a figure for the top cover of it would be fantastic, and here it is!

No offence Jon,but I think it's great for a company to get rolling on current events.I realize this situation is not over yet and it may be soon or later. It will always be a part of history and if people wish to model it I think it's good to be able to do it while fresh in their minds. It took years after before you could buy anything concerning Viet Nam. Really...and I mean this sincerely..if you don't like the subject matter , don't build it. There are a million other things to build. There will always be conflicts and partisan views on everything and all of the people can't be pleased all of the time. Build what YOU like and I'll bet you'll be very happy. I respect the various views on this site. I personally don't like to be called a Nazi fanboy because I like to build a variety of German armor...and it pleases me to build it...but that's one mans opinion. I'm going to build the German stuff regardless. These figures are very nice and they may appeal to a certain segment of the Armorama family. I won't buy them...not because they offend me...but because I don't build modern stuff. The same reason I don't build Taliban and Al Qaeda related stuff. But if that's what you like....go for it. Jeff

yo Adamskii, Why do you have to ruin my evening with your political crap? Go somewhere else & post that crap, this is a modeling hobby forum.
