A new WWII era bicycle is to be released by Russian company Masterbox. This set includes Photo Etch and a figure.
One bicycle and one figure come with each set.

The main frame is made in plastic and comes almost in one piece, having to add only the spokes, chain and a couple more parts. The photoetch spokes, which come in two discs for each wheel, and chain are a nice detail, giving a realistic appearance to the model.

The figure has the usual breakdown in two legs, torso, arms and head. There are also a few items to load the bicycle, as it intends to depict a refugee (hence the name of the set, “The price of war”)

According to the instruction sheet, this set seems to be a collaboration with North Star Models

Yes, and what a nifty little kit. I have seen newsreels of Germans on bikes, so this could be quite useful for diorama builders.

Nice review! This kit is a nifty little MB offering indeed! I’ve got one already built and ready for primer. ... diorama in progress! A note on the pedals and fork … if needed, they can actually be twisted and/or turned (carefully ... very soft plastic) for that realistic look. —mike

Not a modeling point but still: the company is Ukrainian, not Russian. It's a sensitive point nowadays. Cheers! Alex

I noted the issue with the pedals in my review as well. https://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/233825

Perhaps I am wrong, but the spring for the seat is too forward and large, Robert

There's one or two bikes with that kind of saddle in this museum photo feature: Eton Museum I think photos 15, 17 on page 4.
