Released as a 1/35 kit in 2008, Hobby Boss now makes this mid-production variant of the WWII German amphibious vehicle available in 1/72 scale.
Landwasserschlepper was an amphibious tractor produced in Germany during World War II. Designed by Rheinmettal-Borsig, it was intended for use by engineer units as aid to river crossings and bridging operations. It features a hull similar to that of a motor launch, rear mounted propellers and rudders, and tracks with eight road wheels on each side. Landwasserschleppers remained operational until the end of the war in May 1945.
Hobby Boss’ kit 82919 depicts a mid-production Landwasserchlepper. The kit contains more than 20 parts including clear components. A decal sheet completes the offering. As built, the model stands at 121mm in length and 44mm in width.
