Tankograd has six new book on different vehicles like the Leopard 2A6, the Panzer IV or the vehicles of the Finnish Army.
The new volumes announced are:
  • Panzer IV in Combat
The Panzer IV in its variants A to J was the backbone of the German Panzertruppe in World War 2. This publication is entirely based on contemporary private photographs rather than on official and propaganda pictures. By using photos taken in combat by the soldiers it is now possible to tell the true wartime story of the tanks and their crews on all frontlines.
This is the enhanced and updated edition now with 16 more pages and an amazing 85 (!) new and hitherto unpublished photographs.

  • Finland's Maavoimat. Vehicles of the modern Finnish Army
Among modern armies the motor pool of the Finnish Army (Maavoimat) is certainly the most eccentric. The vehicles denote from the Soviet Union / Russian Federation but also from Scandinavian and Western countries creating a fascinating mix of modern tactical vehicle designs. This publication shows the Finnish Army motor pool in fantastic exercise photos and concludes the Tankograd quadrilogy of the military vehicles in Scandinavian Armies’ services (Danske Haeren, Norge Haerens Styrker, Svenska Armen, Finland‘s Maavoimat).

  • The German Leopard 2A6 Main Battle Tank. Development - Description - Technology
Much has been published about the quantum-leap technology of the Leopard 2A5 and recently about the state-of-the-art Leopard 2A7. Yet in the meantime the Leopard 2A6 main battle tank has developed into the most versatile and furthest modernised family of vehicles of the whole Leopard fleet. Aside from its main variant, the 2A6, improved versions such as the 2A6A1, 2A6M, 2A6MA1 and 2A6M+ have been fielded and make this family the most advanced technology carrier of the modern Panzertruppe. In unprecedented detail this publication shows the tank‘s development, technology, variants and active use. In two volumes with a total of 140 pages, 311 colour photos, 21 graphics and no less than three 1/35 scale drawings it permits the closest look on modern German main battle tank technology ever published.

  • The German Leopard 2A6 Main Battle Tank. In Action and Variants 2A6A1 / 2A6M / 2A6MA1 /2A6M+ Second Volume on the Leopard 2A6

  • Panzer Task Force."Storm on the Heath 2017" - German Panzer-Formations train for VJTF (Land)
With Exercise Heidesturm 2017 (Storm on the Heath 2017), which was the main exercise of the 9th Armour Demonstration Brigade of the German Bundeswehr, a very important step towards the future mission as the core of the NATO Very High Readiness Joint Task Force has been taken. This publication grants a detailed view on the vehicles and capabilities of a modern German armoured formation in fascinating and action-packed photographs.

  • MTVR. Tactical Truck of the US Marines
The Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement (MTVR) range of vehicles is a family of tactical off-road trucks especially designed by the Oshkosh Corporation to meet the requirements of the United States Marine Corps. From 2000 onwards, MTVR trucks gradually replaced vehicles of the M809 5-ton, 6x6 Truck Series and the M939 5-ton, 6x6 Truck Series then in service with the USMC. Up till today, some 11,500 MTVR trucks have been manufactured, the bulk of these vehicles are serving with the USMC and US Navy.
Among the many variants described in this publication are, for example, the MK23 Cargo Truck, MK27 Extended Bed (XL), MK29 Dump Truck, MK31 Tractor and the MK36 Wrecker. Also described are the various add-on armour phases such as the Armor Protection Kit (APK) and the MTVR Armor System (MAS).
