Com' on Gino as good as your 1/35th scale HEMTT A3 with Phalanx close in defense system looks you really should convert it; merge your A3 chassis with this THAAD LHS system and show the Army how it really should be done! No need for a separate generator and even more room for electronics. (You can still trailer mount the Phalanx OR PALLETIZE IT! for changable mission profiles.) Gino please don't make me be the one to build it. I am already busy enough and besides, I'm sick! - - - Wha, wha, wha!

OK, so I called the Joint Chiefs . . . . . Proposed schematic showing the A3 Hybrid HEMTT applied to the THAAD system. Another product of Photoshop.

You have me confused w/someone else, I didn't do a HEMTT A3 w/Phalanx. It does sound like an awesome model though.

My bad Gino - trying to relocate the correct modeler right now!

It would be nice if they would at least fix a few of the things they did wrong with their M983 kit. Like no blower on top of the engine and a valve body oil pan on the transmission. I guess they're not going to include the control radar. My local model shop say's the kit will probably retail for about $180.00 That seems like a lot for just one vehicle. He expects to see all of TRUMPETER's product to take a large price hike.

This photo published back in August on this site. - I missed it!

Nice fenders and they added the cab air conditioning condenser and the antenna base I see. I hear the rocket tubes will be actual aluminum tubing!
DEC 03, 2017 - 10:42 PM
I think the rocket tubes are/will be plastic. The tubes for the hydraulic pistons are aluminum though.
DEC 03, 2017 - 11:10 PM
Aluminum tubes will be included in the Dragon/Black Label release.
