Available from Plus Model is a full kit of a WWI-era artillery tractor, and a couple of accessories to accentuate a diorama scenario.

This tractor was a mobile electric generator and the trailers were "pulled" by providing electric power to the trailers own electric engines. It could also run on rails. That artillery tractor is amazing, though the real thing looks like Willy Wonka designed it. Gotta love the weird that comes out during wartime as a result of need & stress.

The idea actually started back in 1908 when Herr Porsche designed the A-zug, gasoline engine driving a generator and the generator provides power to electric motors in the generator unit and in the "trailers". The mobile powerplant also had the steering wheels so it was needed to steer and control the "trailers". Clever idea actually
