The Factory Publishing’s first book The New Breed which covers Shermans and M7 Priests in British Service in North Africa is finally ready.

The New Breed Part 1 North Africa, Colour and Markings Series is authored by Dennis Oliver and Mike Starmers - both well known Authors on British Wartime Armour.

This first book in their colour and markings series is a detailed study of the camouflage and markings as used on British Sherman tanks and Priest self-propelled guns from El Alamein to Tunis.

It contains 30 black and white archive photos and 12 pages of full colour illustrations and diagrams.

Also covered is the history and organisation of each armoured brigade and the markings of each regiment.

I've been eagerly waiting for the release of this book since it was announced last October and it may spur me on to finish my DML Sherman IIIs and Academy Priest.

The retail price is Au$30.75 (=US$27.54/GB£13.86.)

Another poke in the eye for the Allied = OD = boring fictioneers Think I'll stop buying kits altogether and stick to books since I finish more of the latter than the former and there are so many good books around now David

Looks like I'll be expanding my Sherman collection even more! Not only are they going to have a Part 2 to this publication, but material on the Firefly, M4 Sherman and the M4A2.

I am a little biased but having a copy I can say it has been worth the wait. It could be better in my opinion but it really fills a hole and I look forward to further in the series Al

Factory are working on the UK and US retailers but these things take time. At the moment the only retailer outside Australia that carries their books is Tuttostoria of Italy.
