Trumpeter seem to be moving their development program into high gear - here are images of TWO new subjects in 1/35th.
First comes another variant of the company's LAV series with the first images of

00391 - LAV-M.

Secondly,

01005 - KZKT-537L (with NEW tires).

Our thanks to Trumpeter for providing the images!

LAV-M seems an improvement of old out of stock ITALERI kit 0376. I hope a future interest of Trumpeter in other versions of LAVs family, LAV MEWS (Mobile Electronic Warfare System) is still waiting for (and I need AEF Design resin kit !) regards

I whole heartily agree Hisham.
I am in total agreement too.Trumpeter is the only company developing kits people want at a working mans budget.

How many close-up photos did we publish showing close-ups of the intererior? That's right, none at all.
AEF put out a LAV-M interior. No idea how accurate, but it did exist.

Am I the only person who, before they'd read the "New tires!" comments people are making had taken a look at the photos and thought "Oh, third party resin tires!" Are the old Dreamcatcher SCUD TEL tires going to live on forever in vinyl courtesy of Trumpeter and (probably, ironically) spawning a new generation of resin tires which are lauded as being much better than the kit tires, even if the kit tires do end up being copies of the old MAZ TEL replacements from Dreamcatcher. Does anyone have any interior pictures of the LAV mortar carrier? Gary I was just looking at the AEF Designs LAV interior, but having been stung before buying their kits, I wouldn't waste my money either. Darryl

Well, since the subject of PE has been raised, Eduard did a set for Trumpeter's LAV-R, and there's a set for the LAV-C2 due from them in October, so there's hope yet - assuming Eduard are actually still releasing 1/35th photo etch for much longer - while new PE has been thin on the ground generally, it's been almost non-existent for 1/35th subjects, where they seem to be suffering from the existence of people like Voyager, Lion Roar and Griffon.
