Tasca have released images and are now accepting preorders for their new release item, a 1/35 British Sherman II (M4A1) Direct Vision Type (El Alamein 1942)
This kit 35-014 1/35 British Army Sherman II Direct Vision Type (El Alamein 1942) (Mid Production) has long been the Holy Grail of Allied modelers (Including me).
Although DV hulls for the M4A1 have been available in resin for many years (The latest released only weeks ago) this version of the Sherman has regularly cropped up in many modelers wish lists on Armorama and other forums.
Although not pictured here the kit will include photo etch elements.
The kit will be ready for shipping in early October but customers who pre-order between September 15th and October 10th will receive one of the following as a free gift with their order:
• 35-L1 1/35 WW2GERMAN JERRYCAN SET A
• 35-L7 1/35 German Vehicle Light Set
• 35-L8 1/35 Browning M2 Machine Gun Set A w/tripod
• 35-L9 1/35 Browning M2 Machine Gun Set B w/cradle
• 35-L14 1/35 WW2 U.S. Jerrycan Set
If this kit is up to Tasca's usual standard, and there's no reason why it shouldn't be , it is sure to be a hit with modelers. We'll have sprue shots and a review here on Armorama shortly.
