A series of interesting recent arrivals from Accurate Armour should have many modellers interested.
During easter, I was fortunate enough to visit AA's factory in Scotland. While I was there I had the chance to examine closely some of their new releases.
Starting with softskins, Accurate Armour have released a full kit of the Bedford OYD in the unusual guise of a base defence version armed with 20mm Bofors cannon. The kit comes complete with Royal navy markings. Price of the kit is is 72.33 (export) and 84.99 (within the EC) (prices in Sterling)
Continuing with their Land Rover 'Program' , AA have released the 4th and 5th models of what promises to be an extremely interesting series. When I was speaking with David Farrell of Accurate Armour, he told me that theoretically the company could do up to 50 Land Rover variants... Definite food for thought...
LR004 is a complete model of the Land Rover XD TUM G.S. Hard-top (waterised/winterised)
LROO5 Is the soft-top version of the same vehicle.
The Land Rover kiits are 46.80 (export) and 54.99 (within the EC) (prices in Sterling)
Also available is the Land Rover XD 'Wolf' (LR003) which comes complete with full armament additional gear, scrim netting etc. It also covers the distinctive 'Roll-Cage'. Looking more like an extra from a 'Mad-Max' movie, the kit costs 51.05 (export), 59.99 (within the EC) (prices in Sterling)
Also recently released are two versions (K128h & K128S) of the four-ton Diamond T969 6x6 wrecker. The kit is available in two versions, soft top (K128S) and hard-top (KK128h). Price (soft cab) is 153.14 (export), 179.94 (within the EC). The Hard-cab is 148.94 (export), 175.00 (within the EC) (prices in Sterling)
In the second part of this news story from Accurate Armour, I will be looking at some conversion /update sets and some very useful accessories....
