Changing from the usual type of News Report, this is something which would normally appear in the Forums.
In an e-mail from ICM yesterday, they confirmed something that is not entirely surprising - that their Matilda II (Mark IV) has now been canceled.
The model, which had been mooted for July Release was unfortunately, the same vehicle that Tamiya 'leaked' a week or so ago.
It does make sense for the company as with the network that Tamiya have in distribution they'd be unlikely to be able to compete. The 'loyalty' that many also feel towards Tamiya would also have inevitably meant that the Tamiya model would have been prefered.
There were, going by the images of ICM's model, some good features and attention to detail that weren't immediately obvious on the Tamiya one.
As to price, ICM's would have undoubtedly been cheaper as well.
Where this leaves the cooperation between the two companies is anyone's guess.
It's unfortunate but hopefully ICM will take this opportunity to go in a different direction!
