Last weekend at the IPMS Show at Telford, Accurate Armour unveiled their latest releases.
A few months ago, the company began to produce variants of the impressive Post-War 'Mighty Antar' truck. Here are the latest:

K165 - Mighty ANTAR Mk-2 Ballasted Tractor (£160.87 Export, £185.00 U.K/E.C.)

This extensive 1:35th scale resin model kit by David Jane & Rob Tearle depicts the FV12003 Mk-2 (Ballasted) version for towing drawbar trailers. The kit comes with an etched brass detailing set, extensive full colour decals and full chassis, cab interior, engine, transmission and winch details. Complete ballast body with removable weights, and an optional canvas crew shelter over the winch area.

K166 - Mighty ANTAR Mk-3 (5th Wheel) Tractor ( £148.94 Export, £171.28 U.K./E.C.)

The final Mk-3 version was a major rework and incorporated the Rolls-Royce 16.2 litre C8SFL/843 diesel engine. The revised bodywork with single radiator gave a more sleek look. All the lessons learned from the early vehicles were incorporated into the Mk-3, making it a refined, reliable and professional classic. This 1:35th scale resin model kit by David Jane & Rob Tearle depicts the FV12004 Mk-3 (5th Wheel) version for towing semi-trailers. The kit comes with an etched brass detailing set, extensive full colour decals and full chassis, cab interior, engine, transmission and winch details, and an optional canvas crew shelter over the winch area.

Also available, to make the tractors even more impressive (if possible) are a range of 50 and 60 Ton trailer units.

Our thanks to Derek Hansen of Accurate Armour for the Update!

This is the specific reason why I never, ever take my credit card to a show.... To resist AA's beautiful Heavy Transporters on line is difficult, but I fear I would not be able to resist when I have one right in front of me.. The smell of fresh resin... the sensual lines of the ... see what you have done now Jim I will have to go and do some rigorous house work now to get my mind off this.
