The Czech manufacturer, SKP Model have featured regularly in the News Section. here though, is a report on a completely new initiative from the company.
There have been a number of recent releases from SKP Model in the past few weeks - some of which, such as this, cover well-trodden ground for the company:
SKP 101 - Princess in Arm
Based on numerous Wartime images, this, 1/35th scale figure in resin covers H.R.H. Princess Elizabeth during her service in the latter stages of WWII. Just the thing to use with a Tilly!
Now, onto the REAL innovation from the company. Three different sets of Track Sets have been released in 1/35th scale. Cast in Resin, and specifically designed for easy assembly (literally one-click) they are:
SKP 092 - Clickable tracks for Hetzer (late)
SKP 098 - Clickable tracks 15,5 in for Challenger and Cromwell (late versions)
SKP 102 - Clickable tracks for for Panther A-G
Now, I find myself at something of an advantage here. I was sent examples of both the Hetzer and the Challenger tracks. Checking my sources on both, quality and accuracy is excellent with one surprising aspect to them. Although they are moulded in Resin, the quality of the castings is absolutely SUPERLATIVE - I found no need for clean-up and yes, they genuinely DO click tofgether with minimum effort. Price, for AM tracks is also an important factor. Price of each set is a very reasonable 13.49 EUROS - this compares very favorably with other AM track sets.
My thanks to SKP Model for the Updates!
