Masterbox Ltd have just sent us a series of images of yet another innovative approach to figure sets.
Masterbox Ltd. can, in my opinion, claim credit for a concept which other companies flirted with in the past - the creation of the 'Dio-in-a-Box', where all the essential elements of a diorama are included.

This newly-announced set, which will is listed as, is:

3590 - "Accident".

3590 will contain 5 figures along with company's BMW R75 M/C combination. The scenario is simple, Soviet infantry have come across an overturned M/C, and are attempting to capture the two-man crew. One of the crew is accepting his fate, the other may try and make a fight of it.

Again, some interesting additions. Firstly, the inclusion of the earlier Soviet helmets. Secondly, one of the figures is portayed with the large Soviet pack - rarely seen, but never (to my knowledge) reproduced in plastic before. The poses of the figures guarantee that they can (and will) be used in other 'scenarios'.

Great potential.

Our thanks to Masterbox Ltd. for the Update!

An interesting piece from MB, I do wonder if it will be as popular as most of their other products. The inclusion of the bike and side car will result in a more expensive kit which would result in lots of similar dioramas or trying to justify purchasing it just for the figures/bike. This is by no means me knocking MB as they have been leading the way in interesting figure combinations, it is just an observation.

Brilliant.

One of the better companies out there listening to the needs of modellers. I like how we have a choice of which MB bike kit we want. These figures can easily be used in other settings, like getting flushed out of a cellar, etc. As for re-creating the accident, one could simply "damage" the bike somewhat, especially the side with the saddlebag....another neat release.
