I like a lot the T-62 with tracks around the turret .I've never seen it before. It may look very well. The model is the Trump T-62? LINK

The T-62 set at least looks nice. I am a dealer for RB, looks like it would be about $37.50CDN retail for the set.....not sure how that compares to other resin add on sets, like Legend or Real Model price wise....seems to be a decent price, for a unique piece.

I understand the comments on why make workable suspension regardless of the model concerned. I could see this being used on rug runners but how many people who would build a rug runner would be interested in doing this or for that matter be aware that it was offered. The most likely user would be those people who want to; 1. Add a quirk to their build. 2. Retain the ability to have their model displayed on any surface rough or flat. 3. It would make it easy to replicate the nose down look to an Abrams with a plough. However this is one of those things that appeals to some and not others, I did think it was an interesting if unexpected direction.

While I easily accept that the Trumpeter Abrams offerings are not the best when compared with now newish DML offerings, I do feel there is a place for them when 100% accuracy is not the over riding decision to buy. I purchased the 5 in 1 offering of the Trumpeter Abrams in order to get my hands on a mine plough, and I feel it is a fair representation of the Abrams. I don not agree they are one of the worst offerings out there.

Glad to see the resin gear set and tarp for the Sd.Kfz.11. While I'm planning to do a pre-war version in the new camo from DOA Hobbies, the tarp in most kits are wretched, so this is a help.

You realize that there is only a few Abrams model kits on the market, don't you? And among those Trumpeter's one is one of the worst. The worst is the original Academy release, although their OIF kit was slightly improved. Other Abrams kits - Tamiya, Italeri and DML (both old and new ones) - all have some flaws, but are overall better than Trumpeter one and would be a better choice for this kind of aftermarket set. Here is a link to my comparison of old Abrams kits (written before DML released their AIM and SEP kits and Academy updated their M1A1): LINK At that time the Trumpeter kit was the only one with separate suspension arms, so back then indeed it would have been the obvious choice for a suspension upgrade set, but today DML AIM and SEP kits also have separate suspension arms and are sooooo much better that the Trumpeter kit... So unless RB plan another version of their set designed for DML kits, their choice of the base kit remains a very odd one for me. Pawel

If I am honest it was the Academy offering that came straight to mind, one of the few kits of mine that never had glue added. I have built one of the Trumpeter Abrams with my Nephew and it is easily identified for what it is, and the most important part of the exercise for me was it hooked him on building models plus he is really proud of his efforts.

I should also add a thank you for the link to the comparison as I have not seen it before, then again I could just be going senile.
