Upstart Vulcan has done it again with the release of two new motorcycle kits and they look to please by having the single and the sidecar models available. Having had the pleasure of building their K500, these will make great additions to German support vehicles.
As Vulcan continues to improve and expand its line, they have once again called on Swash Engineering for wheels and spokes to compliment their latest offerings.

They are:

#56006 - 1/35 WW2 German Zundapp K800 Motorcycle
Technical assistance and research by Swash Design
Injection plastic kits, with PE Parts
Includes one figure

#56007 - 1/35 WW2 German Zundapp K800 Motorcycle with STEIB Side Car Nr28
Technical assistance and research by Swash Design
Injection plastic kits, with PE Parts

Both kits look to be as good as if not better than their first release, and should build up into unusual additions, especially the sidecar model with the French-designed sidecar; so different from German design of the period.

A girder front end and a bullet nosed sidecar? It gets my vote. I especially like the PE spokes. Too bad there's no sidecar lkike that for my Ural.

Yikes, bikes! The bullet-nosed sidecar got my vote, too. Would love to see some sprue shots and see what this one will sell for on the street.

I should have both kits within the next 2 weeks. Maybe an in-box review is in order? I built the K500 and had none of the problems other sites have mentioned. Vulcan is also open to discussion on what bikes to do next. They are a refreshing company and as a news reporter they have been very open with Kitmaker. This should be a great build!

Thanks for the heads up! This looks like a nice kit. BTW, the sidecar looks like a civilain Steib, not French. Robert if you want something similar for your Ural, try contacting Watsonian/Squire (UK sidecar makers). They are doing something very similar that they pair up with the Indian Royal Enfields they also market in the UK. I saw one at the Birmingham (UK not Alabama!) bike show this week. The pairing also features in the new Harry Potter film...

Yes it's a German-made Steib Nr28 sidecar (as written on the kit box ). Steib replicas can also be found here : http://www.dmcsidecars.com/Sidecars/steib_sidecars.htm Frenchy
