The Scottish manufacturer, Accurate Armour, have just sent us News of two new softskins in 1/35th scale.
The two new releases are:

K127 - Scammell EXPLORER £127.65 (Export) £149.99 (U.K./E.C.)

The Scammell Explorer 6x6 Heavy Breakdown Tractor FV11301 was developed in the 1940's and was in service with the British Army from early 1950. It was a progression from the WW2 Scammell Pioneer SV/2S 6x4 Recovery tractor but fitted with a set back driven front axle and Meadows 10.3 litre 6-cyl engine.

This extensive 1/35th scale model kit by David Jane and Rob Tearle comes with full engine and transmission detail, extensive stowage (with some optional internal details, and etched brass detailing set. Alternative etched or cast front guard are also provided along with cast transparent headlights, spotlight, turn and tail indicators. A comprehensive set of full colour decals is also included providing a good selection of markings.


K172 - HUMBER FWD Light Ambulance £55.31 (Export) £64.99 (U.K./E.C)

This 1/35th scale resin and etched brass model kit by David Jane and Derek Hansen depicts one of the most well known British light ambulance vehicles of WW2.

The Humber FWD 8cwt 4x4 Light Ambulance body was produced by Thrupp & Mabely. A total of 1144 were supplied, and could carry 2-stretcher + 3-sitting (or 5-sitting) casualties. These vehicles were used throughout WW2 and early Post War.

The kit is complete with full interior, suspension and engine detail, optional seating/stretcher arrangements, etched brass detail set and comprehensive decals with many unit options

Well that's Christmas taken care of . Another couple of excellent looking vehicles, with the Austin KY2 and now the Humber plus his excellent stretcher set a few medics and wounded troops would go well and fill a BIG gap figuers wise. Ordered up the Humber this evening and there was me thinking I would get through November without buying a kit! Al
