Archer Fine Transfers have just launched a new Website and published some interesting thoughts about it and their company policy
From the company:
What you will find:
~ Familiar ground. If you are familiar with the way we catalog our nearly 700 products that has not changed. What has changed is...
~ Streamlined navigation. Every page now has an interactive menu that will move you to any category, sub-category or information page on the site with a single click.
~ Better product pages. Each product page is now a two-column layout with the picture on the left and description and buy button on the right. This gives us a shallower page with more room for a picture and description without the need to scroll the page down to find the Buy Now button.
~ Larger and clearer pictures that load fast. Many pictures now include enlarged details to give you a better idea of what you're buying.
~ Cleaner overall design. Simple graphics with elegant pages in eye-pleasing gray tones.
~ Better typography. The site is optimized for the font Trebuchet MS but if you don't have that particular font our website works just fine with any san-serif font in your system.
What you WON'T Find:
~ User Name and Password required to shop or buy. I have no idea why some Internet merchants require this aggravation. When you go to a store does anyone ask you for a password to shop? No, and neither do we.
~ Progress bars. No product picture on our website is over 40k and you don't have to click on a thumbnail and watch a spinning progress bar while you wait for it to load.
~ Google ads or any of those aggravating hot links that bring up pop-up windows. The only thing we advertise and sell on our website is Archer products.
~ Product price increases. Prices have not changed.
~ Postage price increases. You still never pay more than $2 to have your order shipped to any address on planet Earth. Orders over $50 are shipped FREE to anywhere.
