A second extension has been granted until 8-15-08

Thankyou!

As today was the extended deadline there was no way I was going to be finished in time for it!

Hopefully i'll be done by the 15th!

Here's a couple of shots to give you some idea of progress, i'll post more with descriptions of the modifications i've been making to the kit on my thread which you can find here

James

Looks good, Lap man. I like the camouflage and the dusty running gear.

Thanks for participating

After finishing the E10, well here's the E-25 :

After these shots, put some primer, painted the wheels and get a 1st coat of Dark Yellow this morning...

-- The metal canon is not the kit weapon... but since it's an experimental design...why not --

That is the one I am doing. Doe snot look like I will have it done intime. Preety bad when it is your campgin and you can not get the time to finish you r kit for it. It is not really as bad as it looks. You will need ot solder some PE but alot of the PE can be thorwn out becuase once the "missle tubes" are in place you can olny see the front of them. THis saves about 20 PE parts each.

Damn....
Well as you can see on the E-25 the idler wheel support is too close to the top so yesterday after glueing the wheels and preparing the track... I noticed it won't fit... the dented parts almost touch the top part of the hull.

I must consider a surgery...damn after glueing and painting..

The shots:

It's almost ending, but this week I won't be able to finish my 2nd build, the E-25.
Last night while putting the track up, it simply won't fit.. it will also require a major surgery at the front end... at least I tried a different camo , might do a wrecked version, but I won't have time.
At least I got to finish the E-10.

Update photo on my Sturer Emil:

Still needs some clean up of the wash, some drybrushing, markings, misc details finalized, and some more weathering, but i might actually get it done before the campaign ends!

I've uploaded my DML E-100 to the campaigns gallery. Sorry that I didn't have time to complete the Trumpeter E-100, my life is currently hectic.

Ok, got my images uploaded to the gallery with about 45 minutes to spare!

I'll eventually get a little more weathering done on her, but for the purposes of this campaign, she's done!

It seems this campaign has slipped through my fingers.

I'm so sorry I never got the Maus finished on time, despite the additional time frame offered. I can only appologise and hope that the part of the build I did get finished was enough to inspire people to build their own Maus.

I promise i'll get it done eventually, and will update my build thread as and when I do.

Well done to everyone that managed to get a build finished, some very impressive and interesting models on display.

Hi, please forgive the imposition, but 'i'm Duncan Howarth, the guy who wrote the Conversions book. I'd just like to say, that I hope you like it, and if you need any further info. on the KV3, or any of its' sister vehicles, please don't hesitate to contact me. Your posting really impressed my kids! I did a similar article on the KV5 for Military Modelling magazine here in the UK last year. If you 'Google' 'Beast of Leningrad', there is a complete 'how-to on the net. I would really like to see your KV3 results.

Cheers for now, Dunc
