Stefan,
I hate to destroy your plans but I think that this campaign's rule was that gun's caliber has to be 200mm or bigger. Of cource it's up to Jim to approve or disapprove your gun (from my side I'd like to see this barrel...)
As I remember the Long Tom was the name of two types of guns - US one and French Creusot Long Tom from the end of XIX century (both 155) - which one you have in mind?

Hi Andrzej!
I had the US "Long Tom" in mind, but I had forgotten it was "only" a 155mm, and the LT is named in the "allowed" list!
http://www.hannants.co.uk/search/?FULL=AF35009Perhaps that´s another version?
Bummer....
Thanks for reminding me!
Now I have to find something else to build.
I have had my eyes on the Trumpeter Leopold Railway cannon for some time now (to go together with my BR52 locomotive).
http://www.hannants.co.uk/search/?FULL=TU00207 But I doubt the Campaign-time won´t be long enough for such a big build.
however, I´ll find something else to build!
Cheers!

Stefan,
I'm also planning to build Trumpeter's Leopold Gun (and I also have BR52 Kriegslok - not assembled yet) and it's going to be beautifull model. I think that 7 months is quite enough for this one. It would be great if you'd decide to build that gun - we could share some experience building same model in the same time
.
You also have beautifull models of Loki or Karl mortars available... These are big ones... It would be very difficult for anybody to say that "my gun is bigger than your gun" (sorry Jim, I've done that again...
)

Steen,
Yes, yours will work, anything over 200mm is good.
Dan,
Construction is not to begin prior to official launch of the build
No problem, will have to consider again, But, thanks, cheers!

Hi all,
I have signed up to this campaign and plan to build the Italeri M110A1 Thunderbolt it's an 8in gun which I believe comes in at 203mm so just makes it. i hope this fits in with the rules?
Looking forward to getting by big gun out!:-X

Stefan,
I made a mistake when I listed Long Tom. Yes, that cannon is only 155mm and I should have checked it out, but I did not.

I have this kit in the stash:
Do I understand correctly that although this is titled "Incoming II", you are only allowing tubed artillery 200mm and above?

Any system that is above 200mm will work, tubed, rocket launcher, towed or SP.

OK, I guess I will have to pass then. The rocket system I showed above is only 122mm.
Unless I multiply 122mm by the number of rockets.
Thanks for the response.

Sure, why not!
If somebody did want to build one of those I would allow them a head start.
My wife chocked at the idea of me getting a 1/72 Gato class sub, its around 52" long. I alreay know Dora is a NO.

Dora is great... I've seen 1/35 Dora in one store but with delivery cost it was about 1000$....
Unfortunately I cannot afford it....

The prices are down on Dora, I've seen as low as $650, then of coruse shipping is more on top of that. I would not have gotten the K5 Leopold kit if I hadn't traded for it.

Was this taken at a APMS show in northern CT last year? Setup/tables look familiar.. If so, I was there (my first show ever!), you did a great job on the Dora, my kid LOVED it of course..
cheers either way!

Jim,
Do we have a banner for this campaign (if not, do you want me to make one or two?)?
I'd really like to start my K5 but I'm working with 1/16 scale T34 and I'm simply out of desk space
these buggers are simply too big for my small room

I did make a banner. I just need to find it. I will let you know.
I have my base for the K5 together and have started to work on one of the rail cars.
My goal is to have this sucker knocked out in a month. I have way too much going on over at MSW.
