Nice build, Jesper. I really like the mud.
Thanks for the comment, Samuel. I appreciate it

Jesper! You apsolutely astonish me! You can build great models in record time. That is an impressive build to go along with your japanese build. Any thoughts on how you are pairing them yet?
Well I got the camera issue sorted I think. Sorry I have been AWOL for a while. My dad had surgery, nothing serious, but surgery none the less. I have been building two seperate models along withe Sherman so I got a little overwhelmed, but I am making some progress. I wish I had the speed and skill of Jesper right now. How is everyone else doing?

That’s how my base looks now. Today I started adding foliage. Still a lot of work with it. I also must build roof for the bunker.

Hi Tomek,
The base certainly is coming along nicely. May I suggest that you make the spread of plant life more concentrated, in other words, show that there is some dominance between species. All you really need to do is add 3 or 4 of the same species of fern/grass to show that the species is dominating.
Otherwise, I really like the set-up.

I am still thinking about the layout of the diorama. However, it is going to be the Soviet BT-7 passing the abandoned Chi Ha. I am still considering to have the Chi Ha stuck in some mud and have the BT-7 passing on some kind of bridge behind it to add levels to the diorama, but I have not decided yet. Below are some pictures I took before the BT-7 was finished, when I was playing around with the idea.

Nice looking base, Tomek. Would there be any signs of combat on the base? Fx. scorched grass, leaves cut down by small caliber fire etc.
Looks good, looking forward to see more

Nice idea Jesper,
The expression of the second tanker is fitting to the situation you are thinking about. It looks as if he is saying "well look at that, another one bites the dust" or something similar but in Russian.

Thanks, that was the exact reason I choose these two tankers.
In addition there is also the problem that the hatches in the BT-7 are very small and rectangular. This makes it much easier to fit figures in the hatches if they are looking to the side and/or standing sideways.

Thanks, Mike.
You are making very good progress yourself. Looking forward to see some AFV hit the ground racing
One solution to your picture problem could be to open an
www.photobucket.com account. It is free and very easy. I have had one for years with no problems and has some 1200 pictures uploaded. That saves you any problems with pictures not showing and having to delete old pictures due to space restrictions.

I like it Mike,
The diorama looks to me as if the tank has just blasted a piece of ground and has advanced to do the same further up. Not often is previous damage included in dioramas, I think most modellers forget to do that.
Good job mate

Thanks for the comments guys! I will post some pics of the finished turret when I get back from my classes. Jesper I will definately look into a photbucket account. It seems like more than a few people are having problems of late. Thanks again!

Chas, you’re right. Plants on my diorama didn’t look good. My wife also said that they are not natural, and she is always right………..
I decided to remove all foliage from my dio and I started again. I’m going t cover base using ferns and grass, and than add few dominating plants ( like this palm on the picture).
That’s how it looks now. I just started my plan.
Jasper, I'm not going to show scorched grass on this dio, but leaves cut down by small caliber fire is a good idea. I will think about it

Wow Tomek, thats a huge improvement and it definitely looks more natural. Looking like a real jungle now! Looking forward to see your progress on the bunker + figures.

Been working on my figures and one of my vehicles, Italieri's LVT 2 I was going to use a resin driver's compartment interior, however I found that the Verlinden conversion I've had in my stash since forever won't work with it for some reason so I'm going to have to scratch it using the Verlinden parts as a sort of reference. Yeah, probably can't see much of it when the superstructure is buttoned up, but who cares it will be a challenge. The camera is on the fritz today, got to look into that, too. Pics to follow.

Hey everyone, just returned from spring break in France. It was a study abroad so count the fun factor at a medium... plus, I have sunk deeper into debt. How's everyone's progress coming?
