Hi mates!
Some small update: I placed my model on a base, added tracks, hatch cover-plates and water. I think that I’ll be able to finish this one this week.

@ Bob – here are pictures of this something I’ve used to build diorama base box. It was used to harden big cardboard boxes (I bought some new furniture few days ago and they came in big boxes – this stuff was used to protect boxes from bending and breaking I think…)

Here is dissection to show how it is done:

It’s quite easy to cut this stuff and it is not heavy.

Andrzej - good progress! Water in ditch is great
Just take out from tank these tracks - necessarily.
My suggestion - Lay it better beside tank - on road. Just as on photo, which you have placed in first post(TKS with FK-A wz.38).

There will be interesting diorama

Nice progress on the diorama, Andrzej. I have to agree with Adam on the tracks. They look a little strangely placed. How did they come to rest from inside of the tank? Seems a little unnatural.

Looking forward to see more

Adam, Jesper,
Thanks for comments. Here is what inspired me about the tracks:

I have to rethink this and maybe change it, but I sort of like it this way .

Once again - thanks for comments!

ANDZREJ:

Thanks for the pics of the substance that you used for your dio. The pic. of the tankette with its tracks is great and now I know that your dio will come to life when you are done with the track placement and weathering.

How did they come to rest from inside of the tank?

Maybe they were placed there in preparation of moving the vehicle to the rear for repairs or something like that? I am guessing it would be easier to load it on a truck or trailer without the tracks if the tank wasn't operable.

Just a guess.

I think that when it stopped (out of fuel of broken) someone had to move it from the road - I agree with HARV - it would be easier just on wheels.

Andrzej, there is not much discussion about the tracks now. Nothing can be as good a argument in a discussion as a picture of the real thing. Looking forward to see more of your diorama.

Adam, nice progress on the command tank. The camouflage looks good.

Adam I have a Mirage czotg lekki 7TP , is this the same tank? The box top looks like it, I do not know much about this AFV or its history but picked it up on ebay for a good price.

Bob - There is other tank, but enough similar - this is PZInż. 126 kit from RPM:

What is your version of 7TP?Single-turret or twin-turret?

7TP was the best light tank of pre-war Poland and one of the best light tanks on the world in 1939.
Single-turret 7TP:

Twin-turret 7TP:

I have Mirage Hobby 7TP kit too but twin-turret version:

Adam I see the difference now that I see the picture from the box of your tank. The Mirage czotg lekki 7TP has three profiles supplied. It is the single turret version with a 37mm gun.

7TP z ll batalionu czotgow lekkich
7TP z lll batalionu czotgw lekkich
7TP w barwach niemieckich. Wermacht, 1940

Thanks for the photos they are great, your library must be large.

The interior is painted, so now the build should pretty much speed up, plus no overtime this week so I have some time to build.

Scott the interior is looking good, how does it feel to have some time to relax/build now? I seem to remember when you posted the photo of this kit. It seems so long ago doesnt it, well now to have fun.

Well, I've been quiet lately (yeah I know, lucky you ) just want to say great work everybody! Some very impressive work being shown. Seems like I've been spending more time writing than at the modeling bench, but reserving some time next weekend to the 38(t).

Anyway, keep up the great work guys!

Very nice interior, Scott. This will be a real head turner when finished. How do you plan to show of the interior?

Looking forward to see more

Thanks for the complements.

Robert: It feels good to have some time to play, I was only getting an hour at the most before. But I will have to put some time next week or the week after, oh well. I see you are retired Navy, me too, AE1, been out now for three years in July.

Jesper: Really the interior is basic mainly shapes to represent items. My goal was to make it look busy when you look into the hatches. There will be a crew and they will block most of it.

Scott nice to know another squid, I was retired in 1979 as an AO3 with V8. I was aircrew/assistant loadmaster on the nuclear team on P3 A/Bs in Brunswick Maine, it was a blast just putting in all of the time over that boring blue pond.
