Great 251 Ron! The mud on the side is a bit too much for my taste, otherwise nice looking, especially with the figure.

JP, good finish. Your final photos are a bit too "orange" . For size, that thing is so large that even in your scale it is close to a Panzer I in 1/35th scale.

Nice 251 Warren! You might try more weathering perharps? Your camo came out nice and tidy, nice job. Below is the link for the campaign gallery, please upload your 251 there as well.

Just wanted to let you know I tried uploading again and this was the error message I received;
"Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 311296 bytes) in /home/kitmaker/gallery/languages/english.php on line 346 "

It might be that your photos are too large? Did you try downsizing them?

Otherwise it might be a problem with the gallery, I will check tomorrow. I have a network problem at the moment slowing connection drastically...

As soon as I click on upload I get this message, not even selecting any photos.

I DID IT!
I DID IT!!

I finished my entry and I did before the deadline!
The vehicle was kind of easy, the diorama was kind of hard, but the figures were kind of a test for my nerves and patience!

Here are the final pictures and mother nature was kind enough to provide me with suitable weathercircumstances, so I could take pictures outside and capture the mood that I intended.
The front:

the side:

the rear;

the interior;

the other side;

detailshots of the mud;

and some crewmen;

I'll upload some pictures to the gallery and would like to thank everyone for their interest and comments.
Best of luck to those still building and please finish your builds!!

Now I know something is wrong, not only do I get the same error message before I even select an image to upload, I don't even see the photos Ron uploaded in the gallery.
Should I direct this as a site problem? Or is it just me having this problem?

And Ron great job, nice dio in a short amnount of time.

Thanks Bob!
Your builkd is awesome too!
I'm going to tackle that one during the "get the job bone"- campaign.

But I did not run into any trouble uploading the photo's, so there must be something wrong on your side?
Maybe you have to many pictures in the gallery from previous build?

I don't know Ron, I'll try and clear everything and do it again, the photo size are thumbnails so I know it's not the size of the photos.

Maybe it's just my computer acting up.
Bob

I see your photos in the gallery now but I still det that error message when I click on upload.
Pain-in-the-Ass, that was a name of an M3A1 in Bougainville.

Very, very nice Ron!

I really like the mud work and the figures really set off the entire dio!

Excellent!

Wonderful Dio Ron! I love how it came out.

Bob, if you still have problems, PM me. You can e-mail me your photos and I can upload them for you.

If you are completing your builds, please post them in the campaign gallery. There's about 11 pages at the moment and I will definitely forget someone if I have to look between the pages. I would like to thank all who have entered and completed their models, great stuff guys!

Those who are still building your models, we have 5 more weeks, enjoy your build time!

Well heres my late entry - gonna go down to the wire I suspect !

A bunch of 20mm wargaming 251s. All from Cromwell except the 251/3 which is a Dragon conversion, not much just added a radio from an Italeri 250/3.

cheers
Brent

Quite a production line you have there. I think with all the 1/76 airfix stuff I've got I'll have to get back to wargaming. Modelling was always the side of the hobby I enjoyed the most. Well turned out tanks or archers, or goblin beserkers made the games more fun.

Sure I was so pleased with myself I posted on kitmaker. HERE
But there is a far better one HERE with PE bending and a grab handle former which I made myself tonight in an hour or so. It makes much cleaner holes and chads than my one. Just make it don't bother with mine.

Thanks JP. I appreciate it.

Here is my completed Tamiya Hanomag Sdkfz 251/1 that I built for this campaign. I went ahead and finished it up today. Sorry for the poor picture.

I built it straight out of the box. As usual I didn't do too much weathering. Most of my stuff always looks showroom fresh. I did do some dry brushing and a small amount of weathering to bring out some of the smaller details. I then gave it a liberal dusting with pastels to make it look dusty. Other than that here it is.

Thanks for the campaign Emre.

HARV

I like everyone's entries. They look great and they help to make me want to continue with working on improving my skills. Good job everyone.

Well, thanks to Emre' getting us an extension, I may get this finished for the campaign. All that needs done now are the tracks and I think they'll be finished this weekend. (I hope!!)
This is it so far, let me know what you think.

Heres my entry which I kinda rushed cause I thought the campaign ends on the 28th of Feb
Its the old Mongram kit dated 1966, and as the box title says "Half-Track Personnel Carrier" so Im not really sure if this is an M3A1 or A2

The box also forgot to mention what scale the model is so how about we just assume it is 1/35

Box art shows the halftrack with its passenger comfortably sitting in the back while the gunner fires back at a group of .......Vietcongs

Ok so this model is a critics dreamboat cause it is just so full of inaccuracies Im pretty sure "rivetcounters" out there would just have a blast!

I tried my best to scratchbuild and make the model as decent as I can and Im pretty sure theres more that can be done to make the kit a little bit more realistic.

The cab is the most notorious part of the model cause it was just plain empty after I built it straight of the box, I had to add those passenger seats thats actually made out of plastic cheese spatulas from cracker snacks

This sure was one heck of a fun campaign!

Here's my little guy- the old Esci 1/72 kit, re-released by Italeri. The tracks were horrible to work with. Thick, not very pliable, and one side even snapped with barely any tension on the track (fixed with some CA). Aside from the tracks, not a bad little blast from the past...

OhMyGawsh!!!! Rei, I must have built a half dozen of those when I was a kid! What a blast from the past!
I can't wait to see all of these in a gallery like the Eastern Front campaign. Do you think they will do something like that Emre'? I think that was an excellent idea, it was really cool to see everyones final builds that way.

Trumpeter M16 MGMC.

Needs weathering,and decals. Also,I will have to tie down the track to the sprockets,and the support rollers
