@ Tha Pit - thanks for your opinion mate. I'll do my best to keep proving that I'm alive - I'll try to use better weathered tanks though...

Hi Andrzej,
The weathering indeed looks more like a camo-pattern, but I'm sure you'll get it fixed.
Well... no, I won't fix it... it is result of fixing coating problem I had and fixing it would mean repainting whole model - I don't have time and patience for that now...

I'd loose the flague if I were you. It is too pinkish and really doesn't match the Panzer.
Flag has very nice, deep red color - it's just lame light I used while taking a picture. I cannot let it go because it's another way of covering coating disaster that hit me...
Thanks for opinion though... I agree with it, I simply can't do much about it. Something happened with my matt coat and some parts of model turned completely white... I had to cover it somehow and this is a result. It sure won't be best of my models...
Building a realistic desert diorama is far more difficult than it seams... isn't it? All these subtile shades. Nice job!

Art, great job, I doo like the shading and weathering. I also like the layout of diorama - it's simple but nothing's missing.
I think that Bruce will have to give me a prize for worst model built for a campaign

Art, I recognized both these "oldies" instantly! I did those in my early modelling days too and seeing these gave me a bit of a flashback.... ahhh them good old days....
You did a heck of a job on them, loads better then I did.
Andzej, although I must admit that I saw better models coming from your hand, you shouldn't be to hard on yourself. No one builds class A models all the time. We all do have mishaps. It is a learningprocess, right?

Thanks guys. Ya know....there is something to be said about those older kits.....they may not be as detailed, and they may have some dimensional issues, but they sure go together quickly and are a joy to build when you just need to build something for modelling sake.

Hello All,
@ Ron,
Your bases look great, as usually. Thanks for the updates.
@Todd,
Great looking Tiger. Thanks for sharing.
@Kiong,
Great looking Grant/Lee. I loved your old U.S. Star Marking, I do not see them very often on builds.
@Andrezej,
Not one of your best models I have seen, But before you get the award for worst model I have to build mine. I think that on my best days, I am a worst builder then you are on your worst day.
To me it looks great.
@Art,
Great looking build. I can see a little of what you did inside and it looks great.
IMPORTANT: To all of you that have finished your builds, Please remember to place 1 clear photo in the Official Gallery so you can get your ribbon. Thanks.
Cheers,
Bruce

Here is another in-progress photo of the Tamiya Panzer II that I am working on.
Obviously I still have a lot to do with it. I have been working on it when I can but the going has been slow. I have most of the construction complete and some of the detail painting. I just need to get going on finishing it up and getting it detailed. Hopefully I will have another photo to post soon.
Thanks,
HARV

Harv, I didn't know that Tamiya had ready assembled and painted models
looks like it was pulled straight from the box
was the fit good, did you have things altered? or OOTB?

Everything has fit together fairly well. The only thing that didn't go together really easy was the commander's cupola. Other than that it has been a very easy build. I haven't altered anything and I plan on building it just straight out of the box.
I am hoping to get a little more work done on it today.
Thanks for the comments.

Hello All,
FYI in about 4-6 weeks I am going into Hospital for Heart Surgery. I am trying to put it off as long as possible to finish this campaign and the starts of others. If I have to go in early, I have ask Jim Mrr to keep an eye on the campaigns.
In the past few weeks I have had 3+ minor Heart Attacks and the Docs want to go in and see what type of damage I have.
I am letting all of you know, So if I vanish for awhile you know what is going on.
Cheers,
Bruce

No fair Robert, is it too late to say I had time out??
Your project turned out really nice. I need to get busy with mine and get some work done on it. I am trying to finish up my entry for the "Snipers" campaign and I have two reviews that I have to write. So I have a full plate and I need to get some of the stuff done to free up more time.
Again, your entry looks great.

I understand Randy, my boat is full also and this build is the only one that came together any where near what I was looking for. Your photos show me that your build is looking good, I just had to poke some fun since I was lucky enough to have at least one tank out of 6 look half way decent. I am still experimenting with what I learn here, but I feel like a beginner.

Sticking my nose in here:
Am I correct, after skimming through the posts, that no one is doing the "Queen" (Tamiya's new Matilda) or AFV's Churchill?
If so, I may have to remedy one of those...
Though a Sherman might be nice (Tasca Mk. III or Dragon A1 DV). I am sort of a Shermanaholic...
Man, I HATE making decisions!

Here is in-progress photo number 3.
I still have work to do but I am getting close to being finished. I need to finish up some detail painting and then dull-cote everything. The tank looks really shiny because I gave it a coat of gloss-cote before I added the decals. Once everything is toned back down I will give everything a good dusting with pastels and call it complete. I should have everything done in the next few days.
Thanks,
HARV
