Thanks everyone for the kind words, it was a work of mind over matter. If I did not mind the kit having its own attitude, then it did not matter what words were thrown at it. Well at least it was not as hard as the FT 17 that was on my work table last year.

Hello everyone,Here is my contribution to the Wheels 2009 Campaign:It is Dragons 234/2 Puma,and it was a fantastic kit to work on,well engineered and nicely detailed.I am very happy with the outcome,and feel it is one of my better efforts.Of course everyone could improve by criticism,so all comments are welcome,Once again,thanks to Emre for running a nice campaign,hope to join you all in the future.
Wbill76 and his recent log provided some excellent insight and encouragement,thank-you

@Tojo72:

Nice Puma, I really like the effect on your muffler area and the dusty tires. Could you share your process for obtaining these.

@Marcin:

Your Dingo is amazing, what weathering process are you using?

Thank you Robert,

for the tires just dusting with mig pigments,and fixing with their thinner for washes.
the muffler, textured it a little with tamiya surfacer,and mottled it up a little,painted it with testors rust,and drybrushed with testors gunmetal for the metallic look,finally a little mig black smoke and soot pigment just dusted on,i'm glad you liked it,I tought it came out good also.

Hi all,
haven't got too much time for building anything but I'm still in with a Polish Skot 2A, a big and ugly 8 wheeler. I've only opened the box so far hence no pictures to share yet.
It's all resin and PE and just the suspension looks a nightmare to assemble ! I hope I'll be time on target.

ATTENTION ALL ATTENDERS OF THE CAMPAIGN!

I'll be drafted in the Turkish Army for my mandatory military service as of December 1, 2009. As a result, I won't have access to internet for the last two months of the campaign. I would like to turn over my campaign leadership to anyone who is interested.

Sorry for not being attentive to campaign topic, my life is hectic with my military service coming up and a construction in my house, plus a million other things.

Please PM me if you would like to take over.

Emre,

Good luck in the Turkish Army. Do you know what your job will be?

Thanks Tony,

Since our Army relies on conscription, your job depends upon the need. I'm qualified to be an officer (university graduates and up are reserve officer recruits), but whether I'll serve as an infantry for short term (six months) or reserve officer for long term (one year) all depends on luck.

@ Emre: Hope the food is good and you are not bored with your job. Be safe.

Todd, great progress, especially on the suspension. I still have the occasional nightmare about when I did mine. Looking good.
Watch out for the smoke dischargers.

@Emre Please take care and thanks for all your effort on previous campaigns.

Cheers,
Jan

I will be taking over the campaign for now. I might need someone to take over me as I now have new duties as the Campaign Manager.

There is now a photo gallery for this campaign.

Jan, those smoke dischargers ... wow what a pain ... and unfortunately only 7 made it on ... alas one was sacrificed to the modeling demons that live under my table ... but I have persevered and now have a decent camo on the the little bugger ... all thats left now are the tools and such!!

Todd, I warned you. I can't count the number of times I've had these tiny parts fly out of the tweezers that were holding them. My SWMBO created a 'U' shaped screen out of poster board that wraps around three sides of a "cookie tray" to limit the flight trajectory of pieces. It seems to have helped as I find myself crawling along the floor with a flashlight about 1/10th as much as I used to. Can't wait to see some of your pictures.

Cheers,
Jan

Here's a try at a campaign ribbon. Red is probably not the right color for the background.
