Looks great to me Bob. You may want to hit it with some dull cote. To take better pictures, I would suggest using your photo booth. I made mine out of white printer paper and have one made out of a white project board and a piece of poster board for the base.

@ matt, The Autoblinder looks good what brand kit was that
@ randy, looking good what did you make the cactus out of?
haven't made much progress on mine to busy with the holiday coming up maybe today
The autoblinda is by Italeri. I like the smooth assembly and detail of Italeri kits.

Hi all,
I'm building Italeri's Panther A (#270) for this campaign. I'm adding some aftermarket to the kit (Eduard PE and Cavalier zimmerit) to make it more interesting. According to the kit instructions, I should be able to make it depicting a Panther A from Panzerregiment 505 which was deployed in Italy in 1944. However, I can't find any information about this unit or about it's deployment in Italy. Can anybody help me out?
Greetings,
Max

My entry for the campign will be a universal carrier from the 8th Indian Division. I'm using the tamiya U/C- I know it's a Mk2 and the ones in the photos are Mk1 but I'm calling it a replacement vehicle

Marnix. Nice choice of kit. I have build this kit in the past and it goes together well.
Sorry I cannot help on the panzer regiment. I have also tried to find information on panzer regiment 26 from the Italian front, which also had panthers. No luck. I simply have to "steal" all the info for my kit conversion from the Dragon kit among others the spaced roof armour.
So far I have added some details to the kit, but still need to find some tools for the sides or build some myself.
More to follow.

Hi Jesper,
Thanks for your reply. And so the search continues. I also found info on the 26th Panzerdivision using Panther A's in Italy. The 1st batallion of the 4th Pz Regiment was also equipped with Panther A's. But other than that I found no clear information on versions used (early or late) or camouflage patterns. I don't really yet trust the Italeri statement about the 505th Panzer Regiment markings and camouflage. If anyone can help me out with that, it will be very much appreciated.
Greetings,
Max

I'm currently working on an Anzio dio of the HG Pz Div. if a traffic jam @ a dead end. its something like 24"x18", with a scratch-built cafe, cobblestones; a cliff-face overlooking a beach, etc.
The scene contains a Marder II [dragon] facing an Opel Blitz [tamiya] (towing a flak 36 [tristar]); driver [scratch/drag] /commander[platoon] cursing eachother out; with bemused Fallschirmjageren [warriors] looking on.
I actually started this back in February, so I don't know if this would be an acceptable contribution. Granted, at this rate, i probably wont make the deadline. Regardless, tying it to a campaign could motivate me to actually finish this thing.
I'll return w/ photos, if i can jump on board.

Bob, it is the old Matchbox kit. It will never be a detailed kit no matter how much I add, but at least it will make up for that in sheer nostalgia
Jacob, I guess you can just build one of the models for this campaign. You do not have to finish the whole diorama. This you can share with us after the deadline. At least i would like to see it.
If you have already started on the kits for the diorama it is up to the campaign leader to allow/disallow it as an entry. I am not the campaign leader so cannot judge on that. Hope to see your work here.

Hello Jacob,
Post some photo's what you all ready have got either done or in the in-works stage and I will see if it is allowed. I know I am stretching the rules, But campaigns are to build models not to be by the "book" all the time.
Cheers,
Bruce

Hey Jeremy,
Thanks and nice to see ya back you were gone most of November. This is a very old Motorized Tamiya kit and not very detailed no storage other then the figures. Cyber Hobby or DML I think put out a much better and updated kit.

Thanks Sal, life's been.. interesting.. Good news is that I'm never bored I still like that old kit and it looks like it still makes a nice build overall. I just realized that I have one of these beasts in 1/72 from Trumpeter. It's fully detailed with suspension and drivetrain to include a full engine bay, not sure I'm brave enough to try that one yet
