WOW that was quick. Too bad we have to wait until January. Ok so we have other things to do until then, Shermans and Workhorse will be starting soon enough.

It was main reason for placing this campaign next year... Now there are so many campaigns that I didn't want to make people chose between this one and other interesting options.

I'm enlisted! And I've got half a year to narrow down the choices from my ever-growing stash.

(Might finally do the DUKW, or a CCKW, or...)

I finally got off the fence and signed up for this campaign.
I still have a month to finish off a couple lingering campaigns and decide what to build for this one. I'm leaning toward kitbashing either an M718 Mutt ambulance, a Dodge WC53 carryall, or a Dodge WC59 telephone repair truck. What I get for Christmas might help me decide. I can see myself making a decent extended mutt. While the carryall body is cool, I don't know if I could build one up-- bodywork-wise-- with all those curves.

Quoted Text

Any scale, any era (so it may be a horse cart or chariot as well ).

Would something like this be OK?

It's the BergeLuther from the Dust SciFi World.

Well Tom... as long as I see, it IS a vehicle Since it is a "Berge", it is not fighting oriented and I see no visible armament... so yes, it would qualify.

... unless it uses that huge digging bucket to bash and smash around of course!

Tom: Those kits are really cool looking, have you had a chance to get your hands on one yet? I'd like to know what the kits are like...

Andrzej I would like to build up one of my motorcycle kits for this campaign, but I have to see how things go with the other campaigns I am enlisted in. I still need to finish my entry for your Crusades campaign...

Hi,

I've got an unstarted Revell 1/72 Bruckenlegepanzer Biber Armoured Bridge Laying Vehicle that I'm guessing fits the bill.

I won't sign up yet cos I'm fairly heavily committed elsewhere, but time permitting I'd be interested.

cheers
John

I have a plan to do a 1/72 scale truck towing a trailer with a feild stripped Albatross fighter ..apparently this kind of transporting of material led to the term" flying circus"...or so I have heard...

Ok guys, broke out my kit for this campaign today but just took a look at it and moved it closer to the bench. This is my planed build, OOB. But with all the other campaigns going right now dont know when I will actually put knife to the spruces and blob some glue on it
Photobucket
But I'll be watching the tread to try and pick up some pointers

@ Gary - thanks for the gallery!

@ Jim - please make Monty Python's markings on it Pleeeease!

@ Sal - don't worry - we have 9 months to finish our entries to this one I myself have few campaigns running I won't be able to finish...

I've been hit by real life... my modeling time is now reduced almost to none but I do hope that 9 months is enough to finish project I'm currently working on and build Kriegslokomotive Br52 for this campaign.

I'll try to make some banner and a ribbon for us soon.

Hi All!

Thought I better post a progress pic of my entry for this campaign, a Horch 1A 4x4

Just needs some detail painting and decals and it will be finished!

Good luck all with your builds,

Regards
Warren

I had the local hobby shop order an Academy M151A1 for me (I don't pay shipping and the LHS makes a profit-- win/win), so I'm committed to my plan to extend the Mutt into an M718 ambulance.
I did just discover yesterday that the Brits and French in WW I used trucks for mobile pigeon coops. If that isn't a non-fighting vehicle, I don't know what is! ...but I have no intention of building one. Besides, the "weathering" on the roof would be a nightmare.
Anyway, just a head's up that I'm here.

I don't know about that Damien.. the pigeons could have bombed the Germans into submission...

Should have the Horch finished tonight. Keep up the good work
