My Wespe is late... just the lower hull & wheels.
I'm guessing I won't finish this one on time..the PE set from Aber isn't helping either.. nor the other Campaign builds...

Done.
Posted to the campaign album.
sorry for bad pics using a point and shoot.
Was a nice kit to work on. went together fairly well. could have used a turned barrel but then again all models could do with turned barrels. changed some of the instructions as they didn't make sense, as a gunner i can see why it didn't make it to full production it's a pig of a gun! Still i built it for the cool look factor. Enjoy.

Phill, you're right. You really tamed that animal. I think, with the weathering and dust, that it actually looks good, despite the trouble it gave you.
cheers!

My update on my Bishop Mk1 build:
1) The 25lbs Gun painted...too bad it'll be hidden inside the turret:
2) The completed turret assembly:
3) the Lower Hull and running gears have been painted and the Link-n-Length tracks were installed. Italeri moulded the kit's Link-n-Length tracks parts in black-metal plastic:
4) The upper hull and lower hull were mated and glued. Once dried, this assy will be inspected for gaps that require filling up with putty:
Will be completing the assembly tomorrow and hopefully get it primed and painted.

Ian: very nice dispaly piece. Turned out great.
Phill: pretty mean looking gun. I agree with Sean, it looks great for all the trouble you had with it. Now get back to the Beast so we can see it.
Marcos: the Bison is turning out well. You are really in speed-build mode.
Happy Modeling, -zon

Today's update on my Braille Bishop Mk.1:
1) The assembled model primed and Dark Green Base Coat was applied. Prior to applying the Dark Green Base Coat, it was painted with Flat Black.
2) Once the Base Coat was dry, I started picking out the Pioneering tools and painting them with black metal. Wooden parts like the utility box, spade's handle painted with wood brown. Tracks were dried brushed with rust. Ditto for the other metal parts (spade/pick/sledgehammer/exhaust):
Next task: Decal Application and Weathering! Really need to hustle; deadline is just around the corner....

Moving right along, I am also sensible of the looming deadline, firstly the saddle compartment holding the computer input, cable reels and missile heating.system.
Next the launcher/crane arm.
Finally the whole thing tacked together.
The TEL is effectively finished, just a few bits of P/E and squaring away .
The missile I intend to complete tomorrow and get it all shiny Bronze Green by the weekend deadline.Thats the plan anyway!

My little Pak36 should be finished by friday, it's all painted, and I've started a little weathering, once I'm done I'll post the pics here and in the campaign gallery.

Amazing work all around. I should really stop entering campaigns. I invariably see someone elses work on a kit and that inspires me to add it to the stash.
Cheers

Aloha All,
Some great entries in this campaign.
I calling mine done. I experimented with Mig Jimenez's technique for applying mud with a brush in front of air from the airbrush. Probably over did it, but it was fun!
I will post to the gallery too.
Happy Modeling, -zon

Hi Sal,
An extension would be nice...a pile of stuff just dropped on my main carriage for the Morser and did a bit of damage, I have to repair that before I can finish the paint job. I hope to get it done by the 1st, but it will be a bit tight. Is that midnight on the first of April or Midnight on the 31st of March. Presumably it is also US time so we have 5 hours or so in the UK before it turns midnight over there.
I hope this all makes sense. Anyway thanks if you can swing a couple of extra days, it would be appreciated.
All the best,
Paul

Ok guys I requested that we be given a 1 month extension here so that people can finish up there projects Lets hope the Campaign Administrator is generous and in tune with are needs
@ Brendan, I know funds can be tight when you are in school, but to help ease the pain I use a lot of cheap acrylic paint from a craft store, just a suggestion
@ Zon, Congratulations on your finish, I always wanted to try that method but never got around to it, I don't think its overdone at all, looks good

Alan: Thanks for the comment. It was a fun build.
Sal: you should try it, but be warned, the stuff goes everywhere! I mixed AK Interactive Dust and Earth effects for the first round with some plaster. Then added Fresh Mud for the second round. The good thing is you can work the overspray with a thinner moistened brush.
Happy Modeling, -zon

1 month extension granted. Man, I'm glad I got my build done early for once. I've got 3 campaigns to finish and I haven't done any modeling since February.
