Man, forget about the hairspray technique. Check out what Bruce has been working on here: Red Rain
Yeah I have been following that, Bruces builds are outstanding and the step by step instruction that he shares with us all here are truly amazing. I told him he should right a book
Ok Bob 1 photo has been posted in the gallery, sorry about the cargo though anybody know where I can get some crates to fill the space up some more

Hi everyone,
I've been meaning to enlist to this camapign for a while, but after doing a stock check on incomplete builds I've realised that I really need to enlist. I knew I had 'a bit of a problem' finishing kits. Until I emptied out all of the stashed kits I just hadn't realised how bad it was! Here's my collection of unfinished braille scale armour as of yesterday:
Here's a link to a slideshow of individual kits if anyone is interested, though I warn you that some of the camera work is pretty poor.
http://s1122.photobucket.com/albums/l522/John_Hadaway/Models/The%20unfinished%20masses/?albumview=slideshowSome of the kits here will be completed for the Braille Battlefiled campaign (most notably the PzH 2000 and Faun Transporter in the group photo) but I have no fear that there won't be any left for this campaign. I probably won't be active here until Braille Battlefield has ended, but after that I hope to be completing as many builds as possible.
Cheers
John

I'm focused on this campaign now (at least for awhile
) but I painted the tracks on the su122 and put together the figures tonight. I may not use all these figures as the details on the 2 squatted infantry are a little softer then the standing guys. I may just paint them all and see how it all fits, as we go on here. Sometimes less is more as they say.

Hi, the two machine gunners are 1/48 Evolution and the others are from Gasoline. The Evolution guys are really impressive in detail.

John do not forget the mail box, it is one of the most important items along with the bathroom. Nice to here from you and I will be waiting to see the Tiger get its day in the sun.

thanks Bob !!
I still have tons of stuff at my old house, I might rent it in a few months so all the stash and the finished kits are between the 2 houses, it's a little messy ... So I planned these next months on finishing some old builds and downsizing my stash. No new kits for sure at least for the next 6 months...
I'll try to post some pics next week.

Aloha All,
Slowly some progress is made. I've gotten most of the interior base painted and the lower half assembled. I still need to finish the dash board and give it all some wear and tear.

Hey Bob,
Is this too far along? It's the Dragon Su-85M fairly straight from the box.
It's been sitting on the back of the bench waiting for detail paint and weathering for... 2 1/2 years (I'm so ashamed).
If not, I have a virtual plethora of partially finished kits to choose from.

@ Charlie: what are your plans on finishing this build?
@ Zon: thanks for the update photos, what is the vehicle in the background standing on its nose?

Bob: It is Tamiya's 1/48th HMMVEE w/ grenade launcher for the Soft Skins campaign. It's nose down because I put some Testors Cement for Clear Parts and Windows over the silver paint on the driver and passenger rear view mirrors. I'm hoping it will be a bit more realistic for the mirrors than just the silver paint.

Zon, you know I think we need to do another "Workbench AS IS" photo blog. The last one was a hoot.

Bob: That last "Workbench As Is" was fun to see, but you might be disappointed in my workbench. That photo above is the most interesting mine's ever been!! I just have a small corner in my bedroom and everything gets boxed up after each session. Perhaps I can drag it all out at once and take the photo!!

Hey Bob, After I actually dust it off (yes, that's real dust) I was planning on trying Adam Wilder's 21 step approach step-by-step to see how it works for me. If mine ends up half as good as his example (a DML Su-100 in my article) I'll be happier than a hog in... pooh.

Hi Everyone.
Here are two kits I have had sitting in a built and primered state for over 9 years now.. You could say that the paint was well cured..
Both are 1/35 and both are Tamiya. The decals for the Matilda were so old that the name decals just disintegrated when I tried to move them off the backing. Luckily, I had just received the latest Tamiya Matilda so I snavelled the decals for one of the schemes in that box.
The Quad's decals were in remarkably good condition for so old a kit and went on no problems.
So there you have it trend-setters. Two more from the graveyard// Still a few to go!!
Cheers n beers
Warren
Oh, and suddenly I have MUCH more time for modelling so expect a few out..
You may be right, I may be crazy.
