More progress on my Polish Firefly.
I've base coated the stowage, the next step will be doing shading and highlights on all the tarps etc.
After that I can 'tie the stowage down', and start weathering everything
Polish Tank Crew soon, from Ultra cast too
Cheers
Paul

Another Update.
Crew done and a bit of shading and highlighting now on the stowage.
I need to blend the stowage colors now, and complete the 'tie down' ropes.
After that, I can start weathering
There's light at the end of the tunnel now
Cheers

Paul and Neil: nice Shermans.
I'm finally getting back to this project. Almost in time to meet the deadline
Base coat is on, with one coat of Future. Tamiya XF-60 Desert Yellow with 50:50 XF-63 German Grey / XF-2 Flat White for the stripes. Hopefully I can get one more coat of Future and then the decal this weekend.
Happy Modelling, -zon

OK, here is my entry for the campaign, complete, at last!
For those that may have forgotten, this is what was on my shelf at the start of the campaign, having lain forgotten for over ten years.
A bit of work to get it all together & painted & we ended up with this:
" TARGET="_blank">
And, after the decals and weathering, with a nice little base to sit it on, we end up with ...
Some detail photos:
The rear stowage boxes, all scratchbuilt.
The mud chutes fitted to many of the Canadian Lees.
My reshaped Tamiya turret.
I do believe that's me done, then!
Comments welcome.
Brickbats, not so much...

Nice progress, Paul P. Really nice Sherman. Looking forward to see more.
Nice entry for the campaign, Paul. I like the mixed colours and contrast for the weathering. Often seen in real life, but difficult to recreate and make look right. Well done.

Jesper,
Thanks for the kind words.
That entry is complete, so I won't be adding any more photos (unless someone wants something specific, just ask) and it's an M3 Lee, not Sherman, but parts certainly do look like a Sherman, so some confusion is understandable.

By gum sir, you're right! I saw the PaulP and my mind created PaulR, my name. It did seeem a little odd. Luckily, it was just me being dumb.
I shall just quietly skulk away...

Zon: It lost its both mirrors, chain gun, antennas, spot light (lense never found), was out of town when my niece tried to flush it down the toliet. My kat thougth it was a play toy after repairing damage from the two previous attacks Almost scraped the whole thing after that.

Hi Paul,
Nice work - that's one well weathered Lee you have there.
Hi Aussie Paul,
Great work on the Sherman, bit to clean for me but a neat build.
Excellent stuff folks.

Thanks Alan,
This Vc is from Falaise, about a week after the Polish 1st Armored Division was deployed for the first time. Not too much weathering required.
Perhaps some lighter dust colors could be in order, but it's done now .
Cheers,
Paul

John: wow! it would be safer in Iraq
Paul: nice finish. Love the paint effect with the full black undercoat.
Here's mine: filter and washes applied. Chipping next. Hope to finish this weekend.

Congrats John (your's went straight to battle before even getting off the production line like Stalingrad) and Paul. Great looking builds

Hey guys, great looking models.
Here's an update of my UNIFIL Centauro
All that's left is some weathering and it's done.
I've had some last minute Army tasks come my way which put my behind schedule is it possible to get a few more days to catch up (till maybe monday or tuesday?)

Ian: looks good in white!
Greg: thanks for the comments.
I've added scratches and chipping, although hard to see in the photos. Still need to dull cote it. I'll be leaving the wheels unglued for now as I hope to incorporate it into a dio with my Desert Fox build.

Aloha all,
I'm calling this one done for the campaign.
This was a great campaign and I'm glad it forced me to finish this one as I'm pretty happy with the results.

Hmm. Bigrip74 hasn't been online since November 20. I will cull the campaign gallery and start a list of finishers in case I need to award the ribbons.
Did anyone need an extension?
Oops. Didn't remember that warreni took over the campaign. I'm sure ribbons will be awarded soon.
