G'day guys !

Here's my entry in this Campaign :

The hull is mostly done, the tracks are primed, and the bogies as assembled. It'll be mostly build OOTB with an AM barrel, and some AM stowage.

I started this in 2009, with a view to doing a Polish 1st Armored Firefly at Falaise.

See here : Paul's Polish Firefly at Falaise

It'll have Bison decals as markings and also an Ultrcast crew.

Cheers

Paul

I didn't finish the "Hangar Queen" campaign so I need to finish this one.

I attached the gun shield and one of the supporting arms. I need to re-attach the other (which broke off months ago) then paint the arms. I still need to finish painting the tires, attach the wheels, then paint the shovel.

Well, I finally decided the wheels were good enough and glued them on. Shovel is all painted. No decals to protect so I think I will skip a clear coat. I declare my PAK 35/36 done. I have uploaded 2 photos of the finished build into the campaign gallery. *whew*

Now I'm wondering if I should move on to another campaign or finish some more for this one.

I decided to finish up this (well, not the figures):

Still a jumble of parts.

I decided to dry-fit some of the parts, and got pretty fired up when I saw how it actually looked like a motorcycle!!I

Well, now that I finished my entry in the Fighting Falcon campaign on Aeroscale, I can get stuck into this one. Here is my entry, last seen in the Sherman Campaign, this is the Dragon 1/35 M4A1 76mm (wet)

The bike is just about done.

One of the pegs for attaching the handlebars broke as I was trying to attach the front forks to the bike. I decided to glue the handlebars on then sand down the attachment point on the bike until the front forks could be snapped into place. This way I still preserve the ability of the front wheel to swivel. That worked. Last resort would have been just gluing it in place. I need to add the rear license plate and paint front and rear license plate holders in white then apply the decals. Oh, I forgot about the saddle bags. Hmm. They don't have backs to them. I am tempted just to glue them on as is. It's not like this is a very accurate kit.

The sidecar needs more coats of paint.

Here's an update on my centauro. not totally happy with it. the chipping effect using salt didn't come out as pronounced as i would have liked and even after 2 coats of white it still doesn't look white enough. also the paint seemed to blot around the salt grains as if the salt was "absorbing" the the pigments in the paint. maybe after I dust it with pigment it'll even out the coat.

Progress on the BMW. Painted and added the saddle bags and spare tires. The sidecar is pretty complete except for the machine gun and decals. I successfully put the decal on the rear license plate but messed up one of the front license number decals. Now I have to use a different license number (and remove the one on the rear plate). Good thing the kit gives 6 sets (2 Army, 2 Luftwaffe, 2 SS) so I have several chances to get all this right. Also a good thing I didn't add the unit markings yet (though I'm not sure it has unit markings for Luftwaffe).

G'day Greg,

yes the Legends Firefly Stowage set is pretty comprehensive.

There is enough Resin for about 3 Firefly's I think

Or one 75 tonne Vc

Cheers

I won't upload to the campaign gallery as I already have my qualified build there (Tamiya 3.7cm PAK 35/36). The BMW is not the most detailed or accurate kit ever but I am an OOB builder (for now) and I just wanted it done.

Next up is a Tamiya Kettenkrad. I've got sooo many kits that I started but never finished here.

That's awesome Gary you're getting them done. My display of shame probably has a dozen kits unfinished in there. I think it's harder to pick up where you left off and get re-motivated to do a kit then it is to start a new one (But mostly I'm a lazy painter). Keep them coming.

:)
I have 3 moving boxes full of military vehicle kits I started but haven't finished. I have one large moving box of aircraft kits and maybe 8 1/700 ship/sub kits unfinished.
